SHOFU - The Momo Man — Restaurant in Jaipur Municipal Corporation

The place was in utter chaos. There was a group of girls making too much noise, they were running all around the cafe to take selfies, getting loud while taking selfies, they were just shouting and clicking pics like crazies and didn't care that others were getting uncomfortable. I told the staff about it and asked them to talk with them so that others can eat in peace. I was told by the waiter that they were the guests of owner's wife and they can't tell them to behave properly. So I decided to dine in the outdoor sitting. I ordered Chilly paneer momos and honey chilly potatoes both were totally pathetic. Worst cafe experience ever. I hope the owner, his wife and their guests develop some professionalism and take care of other...

This Momo place is absolutely delicious. The server doesn't speak English so you'll need to use your phone to interpret or point to menu (or learn some Hindi :3). Went there two nights in a row and got the crispy, butter garlic, and tandoori Momo platters. Not sure if I can recommend one type strongly over the other as they were all delicious.

The platters come with three types of fillings: paneer, cabbage, and cheese corn. Surprisingly, the paneer was my least favorite. Not because it was bad but rather because the other two types were just so incredibly delicious¡!!! Cheese corn sounded weird but was great, and the cabbage was really surprising.

Also ordered kombucha and liked the kombucha they sell here. Highly recommend...

My review is truly based on the items I ordered which included fried rice, chilli garlic noodles and vegetable steamed momos. Having so many momos restaurants around, I chose shofu because of its ratings. I expected high quality food with a great taste however I was extremely disappointed. The fried rice was unnecessarily spicy, noodles were overdone and the momos were scattered as soon as we started eating them. I won't hesitate to give them another shot going into the restaurant as this was a takeaway order because sometimes freshness is different if you get the food directly from the kitchen instead of from the box.
