First of all, the staff is super nice.

I was visiting India so i didn’t have an Indian phone number to get an otp for the wifi. The staff used their own numbers to get code.

And then one night i couldn’t get an Uber to go to my apartment. They suggested use Ola and i had the same problem as wifi. I need an otp to sign up for Ola.

This time one of the staff offered to use their Ola ride to call a cab. And i was able to quickly get a ride.

Here is the kicker though, i take the ride that night and left my phone in the cab. I go back there in the morning before opening time. The manager store manager quickly calls the other staff and gets the info of the driver. And than calls the driver and recovers my phone for me.

Let me be clear, it is very fruscturing to lose you phone on another country. I had two more to return and my number would have been completely useless during this. Can you image that customers aren’t able to reach you for two days.

To make long story short, this was a huge deal and Starbucks excellence in customer service came through.

This is like the airbnb version of a coffee service. The trip has the warmness of the home. You are overseas but you don’t fell lonely. or you don’t feel like you are with bunch of strangers.

The brand comes with empathy. This is how felt. I felt support. I felt home.
