I had a very disappointing experience today at Amigos hazratbal . My wife and I were quite hungry and decided to stop for a quick meal. We asked for a table for 2 and it was not available the waiter asked me to wait. I noticed a vacant table for 4 and pointed it out to the waiter, who hesitatingly allowed us to sit there.

We initially ordered some portion of sweet corn soup & butter chicken, but the waiter insisted to try hot and sour soup instead. Trusting him, we agreed but the soup turned out to be of very poor quality. Although we were dissatisfied, we managed to continue as we were already running late. The butter chicken we had, tasted extremely sweet & again we were disappointed, as if sugar had been added, it was completely flavourless. It was honestly one of the worst butter chicken I’ve ever tasted.

While eating, I had ordered an extra naan, which took so long to arrive that by the time it came, I had almost finished eating. When I asked for the bill, the waiter insisted I take the naan since it had already been prepared. I refused, explaining that it was delayed, flavourless and the service had been poor. But shockingly, they shamelessly added the naan to the bill without any hesitation.

I also informed the waiter that the food was not of good quality and left most of it untouched on the table. Despite this feedback, there was no apology or concern shown. Just a couple of hours after having lunch there, both of us experienced stomach aches clearly indicating issues with the food’s quality and hygiene.

As a long time fan of Amigos, this visit was truly disappointing and has left a very negative impression. Based on this pathetic experience, I would suggest not...

I recently visited Amigos, hazratbal with my kids and my brother but was highly disappointed.

We ordered plain pizza for kids and chicken blast for myself and my brother which took them around 1 hour to prepare.

Quality of plain pizza was average and not to the mark. Morever, to my surprise a burnt chicken blast was served shortly after. I immediately called one of the staff and reported the same. He apologised and asked for replacement. What was shock is that they saw and were knowing the pizza is burnt but they still sereved it (they may be thinking that customers can accept anything we serve, even if it is garbage). Now, after waiting for 30 more minutes pizza was served which was extremely spicy. I have been eating spicy foods throughout my life but this time it was to next level, unplatable and very uncomfortable and the result, we did not eat. We wanted to drink water but the glasses on table were kept in an unhygienic way. We asked for disposable glasses but they were out of stock.

For us it was worst experience which ruined our get together.

In conclusion, Amigos is below average restaurant and I believe Amigos, hazratbal, do not have qualified chefs. They may be good in preparing some food but definitely I would not grade them qualified. Location wise, it's nice and that was the reason we opted for this place. Quality wise, below average. Hygiene wise, very poor, glasses were kept on table in very unhygienic way.
