I had been craving a nice cup of coffee and a slice of tiramisu. Finally, I had a chance to stop by the Le Delice. When I arrived, the place looked charming.
I stepped up to the counter and ordered a large drip coffee and a piece of their tiramisu. The barista nodded and got to work. A few minutes later, he handed me my order. I grabbed a table and took a sip of the coffee. To my dismay, it tasted nothing like the rich, smooth espresso I had been anticipating. Instead, it was watered down and bitter. I winced and set the cup back down.
Determined not to let the bad coffee ruin my afternoon.I turned my attention to the tiramisu. I eagerly took a forkful and popped it in my mouth. But as soon as the dessert hit my tongue, I knew something was very wrong. It was horribly dense and dry.
Completely disappointed, I gathered my things and hurried out of the place. So much for my relaxing coffee and dessert outing - it had been a total disaster from start to finish. Over-extracted: The coffee could have been brewed for too long, resulting in a bitter, burnt taste. This happens when the water is in contact with the grounds for too long, extracting bitter compounds. Poor quality beans: The beans themselves might have been old, stale, or of low quality, leading to a bitter, unpleasant flavor. Incorrect grind size: If the coffee grounds were too fine, they could have over-extracted, leading to bitterness.
Tiramisu: Dry and dense: The tiramisu was described as "horribly dense and dry." This could be due to several factors: Over-baked ladyfingers: The ladyfingers might have been over-baked, making them too hard and dry. Insufficient soaking: The ladyfingers might not have been soaked long enough, leading to a dry texture. Incorrect mascarpone ratio:The mascarpone cheese, which provides the creamy texture, might have been used in too small a proportion, resulting in a denser,...

Read moreI used to be a frequent to this place once it started. Hang out with friends, get cakes for Eid, weddings etc. But ever since his chef left, the food taste has taken a sharp drop. I still went here for a couple of good desserts they serve. BUT Recently, I made a big purchase of 81 big sweet boxes from here- an order of almost half a lakh rupees. A couple of days later, i went in to make an order for 5 more boxes but all I wanted was a different set of sweets put in. I told them I would pay the sweets and the box. I just wanted the same box to make it look alike with the rest of the 81 I had gotten for my engagement. I requested them with all sincerity but Man was I astonishingly disappointed. The aged man that sits in Le Delice Dal Lake was rude and condescending. They not only refused my humble request but acted as if they are the only place in the whole world selling pastries. Ridiculous to say the least. They showed so much disregard as if I was speaking to a wall. Needless to say, I didnt go through with my order and also decided to never visit or recommend this place again. Rubbish customer service. Zero concern for a loyal customer. Would recommend everyone to stay away if you want to be treated with respect. Their quality of food is getting worse by the day but more their quality of service is beyond redemption. If you are spending some big money for a ceremony like I did, maybe find something worth...
