Hotel Mount View Katra — Hotel in Jammu and Kashmir

I had a very disappointing experience at Hotel Mount View, Katra. The behavior of the reception staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. They spoke harshly and lacked basic courtesy towards guests. At the time of checkout, they added unnecessary and unexplained charges, which felt like a deliberate attempt to overcharge customers.

It’s really unfortunate that in a spiritual place like Mata Vaishno Devi, such hotels are exploiting the name and sentiments of devotees. The Executive Room service was absolutely third-class and not at all worth the money.

However, I must appreciate the cleaning staff – they were polite, helpful, and maintained a positive attitude throughout our stay. It's a shame that the good work of the housekeeping team is overshadowed by the poor behavior at the front desk.

Pathetic service, i could have given 1 star if i had an option, the man at the reception was toooo rude , he wasn't ready to listen to anyone, he was shouting at us for their own mistake , he wasn't polite , services were the worst part , they took more than 45 mins to deliver food , even the rotis weren't fresh , the badsheets were sooo dirty , they did not maintain hygiene. Ac wasn't working properly, no one came to fix things , random power cuts , it was too hot to handle, Don't know how we managed, all i can say god gave us the strength to bear everything .we are never going to stay at this hotel again .

I stayed here from 6-10-2024 to 8-10-2024. Worst experience of my life. Rooms lock were automatic means you can open without keys. We go to market and when we came back saw door is open as lock was just supported with a wooden piece and that falls after lock.

Don't dare to order tea or coffee. They have special flavor of tea, COCKROACH flavor. We found 2 continuous day cockroaches in our tea and when we complain they said may be tea kettle was not washed.

Their staff especially receptionist behavior was worst. Don't just go by pictures on website. All their room does not have any mountain view. Some rooms even does not receive sunlight.

I will never recommend this hotel. Their are many hotel with lower rates and better service...
