Shadab's Kebabs — Restaurant in Jodhpur

Great Place with Tasty Food Experience. Sharing My honest review over two types of interaction with the restaurant. First one was a takeaway and second one was a dine-in with the family.

Take Away: Items Ordered Banjara Kebab(Shadab's Special) Taste- 10/10 Quality- 10/10 Quantity-10/10 Packaging-10/10 Everyone loved the taste and quality of Banjara Kebabs. You would get around approx. 6-8 pieces to relish upon and it was perfect. Would Recommend to try once.

Chicken Lollipop Taste-10/10 Quality-10/10 Quantity-11/10 (Surprisingly Big Pieces you would get :) ) Packaging-10/10 Mother loved it the most. Nicely packed huge leg pieces of chicken perfectly marinated and fried you may enjoy. Ours was dry version and surely would recommend the same to be tried once. You all would like it...!!

Dine-In: First things First. The place is very nicely designed. I loved it a lot as you have all kind of seating options available. One common seating, another purely family seating with lovely interiors. also they have party space for a small gathering. Items Ordered: Mutton Seekh Kebab Taste-10/10 Quality-10/10 Quantity-10/10 (Its good as compared from other places) Serving Quality-10/10 I have eaten at various places but must say first time I was able to eat proper seekh kebabs in jodhpur. Taste was great with perfect ingredients to it and also the kebabs were succulent. Must Try Them. Served with Mint Chutney, onion slices and lemon piece. Mint Chutney was also good.

Chicken Pahadi Kebab(Shadab's Special) Taste-8/10 Quality-8/10 Quantity-10/10 Serving Quality-10/10 Same type of serving taste was also ok but could have been cooked a lil bit more I felt. Rest it was fine. Marinated in green paste.

Mutton Hyderabadi (Shadab's Special) Taste-11/10(I loved it) Quality-10/10 Quantity-11/10 (First time i got so much of quantity and that too in half portion order, surprised and enough for 2 persons easily) Serving Quality-10/10 Came well topped up with the gravy till the top and garnished well along with cream over. Taste was superb and most importantly wherever I ate i wont find the pieces having taste in them. But this time mutton pieces were super tasty. Everyone enjoyed it. Its a Must Try from my side...!!

Dal Tadka Taste-10/10 Quality-10/10 Quantity-10/10 Serving Quality-10/10 My mother's favourite dal. Taste was perfect. Nicely cooked and simmered to perfection. Recommended.

Butter Naan and Plain Tandoori Roti Taste-10/10 Quality-10/10 Quantity-10/10 Serving Quality-10/10 One by three is the ratio of 1 Naan. Soft, Crispy and cooked perfectly. There are very few places in jodhpur that are able to serve perfect naans and tandoori rotis. But here at Shadab's, it was perfect.

Onion Salad Taste-10/10 Quality-10/10 Quantity-10/10 Serving Quality-10/10 The reason I mentioned about simple onion salad is that in jodhpur first time I saw so perfectly thin slices of onion. Thin means super thin. You would surely enjoy them too along with your items. Till date I haven't seen such perfect onion salad. Everywhere irregular slices of onions are served. But surely at Shadab's they have kept it nicely.

Overall the place is perfect. I must recommend everyone to at least visit once and enjoy the lovely food. Also I would be visiting regularly and relish upon other delicacies too. Don't forget to try their special items like Shahi Raan(on advance order) and Shahi Handi and many more.

The only negative thing we faced was the staff service quality. Which is I would rate 5/10 as it was not up to the mark. everything we need to ask whether it might be a spoon or a simple extra plate. Instructions were not followed properly and every serving guy was in a hurry. Might be due to the crowd.

Overall i recommend this place to visit and enjoy...

A place for succulent , tasty , delightfully flavoured meats. Don't let its small Shack-like appearance located in a seemingly unhygienic locale fool you, for the barbecued meats are fairly tasty and decently flavoured. Located close to what looks like an open garbage dump, hygiene is suspect at best, but the food they serve is a mix of tasty, succulent and overdone sometimes.

The schezwan noodles are definitely overdone - garishly colored with what I hope is permitted food colour, and thoroughly greasy ; fare best avoided. The barbecued meats - Chicken Afghani, Chicken Angara. Kalami Chicken are succulent and rightly flavoured. The curries are decently flavoured too. What I wish is that the owners/ proprietors did something about the hygiene, or rather, the lack of it. While the insides of the restaurant - the dining area, looks suitably clean and distinctly presentable, since one couldn't peer into the cooking area, there are no opinions to be preferred on the same - your guess is as good as mine! The outside of the restaurant on the other hand, is definitely grubby, unhygienic, and an open invitation to a billion bacteria, virus, spores & fungi that thrive in the garbage strewn around the outside. They definitely need to get their act together and get the outside of the restaurant cleaned up ! The other downside is the presence of drunk people waiting outside in cars. Not that they are threatening, but their presence precludes a safe, healthy family dining environment.

While this restaurant offers great non vegetarian fare which could be a tad too greasy, it can surely do with some ( a lot actually)...
