Birju's Pav Bhaji Kalyan — Restaurant in Kalyan-Dombivli

This place is just 30 seconds walking from my apartment and I would have given 0 stars if Google gave an option because I see every single day how they prepare food and it is disgusting. This is by far the WORST place to eat. I have eaten pav bhaji almost everywhere in Kalyan from restaurants to simple street carts but this is without a doubt the absolute worst experience ever. There is ZERO hygiene, NOTHING clean, and the person at the counter is rude, arrogant and shameless.

The place was filled with mosquitoes, not one or two but literally swarms of big and small machar flying all over. I told them about it and their excuse was that it is rainy season. What a pathetic response. Such mosquitoes do not just appear because of rain, it clearly shows how filthy, unhygienic and careless this place is. When I told the counter guy again he just ignored me completely as if I was saying nothing.

And the result? My sister vomited and fell ill after eating from here. That shows exactly how disgusting and unsafe their food and hygiene are. I am not letting this go. I am going to raise a complaint with FSSAI and every single relevant department.

If you are charging such a high price then at least provide basic service and cleanliness. I had heard a lot about this restaurant but when I visited, it was horrible. Comparing Birju with Sagar or Khadakpada Pav bhaji is an insult to those restaurants.

Pathetic taste- Pav bhaji served was cold. It was completely tasteless.

Pathetic Service-

There were 4-5 waiters, the restaurant was empty but still we had to call them thrice for the single Paav.

Pathetic behavior of waiters-

All the employees with the person sitting at reception were talking loudly and laughing among themselves.

There is no wonder why the restaurant was empty. Only fools who have never eaten good Paav bhaji would pay freaking ₹180 for that tasteless cold...

It's not just for pav bhaji you also get Chinese food over here which is amazing. The masala pav is one of the good things you should try. The quantity of the pav bhaji is very fulfilling and good to taste it's better than most pav bhaji in kalyan. It's a small place and it's mostly packed with people so there might be waiting. The service is quick and place is also clean. The staff is helpful. As far as Chinese is consider I would suggest sticking to the soups rice and noodles instead of starters.
