Disappointing Dining Experience at Hotel Gavran Aasal Kholapuri Swad.
My recent dining experience at Hotel Gavran Aasal Kholapuri Swad was nothing short of a disappointment.
The seating arrangement was far too close for comfort, making it difficult to enjoy the meal without feeling cramped or encroached. The lack of adequate spacing between tables significantly hindered the overall dining experience. Additionally, the limited room for movement created a sense of discomfort and unease.
The menu at this establishment seems to be thoughtfully curated with an understanding of diverse palates. It offers a wide range of options that cater to various tastes and preferences. Whether you're a seafood enthusiast, a lover of traditional Indian cuisine, or seeking vegetarian delights, there's something for everyone. The layout and organization of the menu are user-friendly, making it easy to navigate and find exactly what you're looking for.
We ordered their Pomfret Thali and Dhangari Mutton Thali as recommended by their service staff. The Pomfret Thali and Mutton Thali were both major letdowns. The size of Pomfret Fish was small and lacked the delicate flavors one expects from this dish. It lacked the tenderness that defines a well-prepared fish dish.
The Mutton Thali was equally disappointing. The meat was tough and chewy, indicating a lack of proper cooking or quality cuts. The seasoning was also off, leaving an unpalatable aftertaste. The sides provided with the main dishes were completely mismatched in terms of Flavors profiles and textures. It seemed as though little thought was given to creating a harmonious and complementary dining experience.
Furthermore, the presentation of both dishes was uninspiring. Aesthetically, they fell flat, failing to entice the diner before even taking a bite. Additionally, the portions of the main dishes along with sides were disproportionate, leaving me with an excess of one and a shortage of another.
This inconsistency greatly impacted the overall enjoyment of the meal. It's crucial for a restaurant to pay attention to the details, ensuring that all elements of a dish work together seamlessly. Service was another area that left much to be desired. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive, which further dampened the overall experience.
First and foremost, the cleanliness of the dining area left much to be desired. Tables and chairs appeared to be only superficially cleaned. Such lapses in maintaining a clean environment can have a direct impact on the overall dining experience. The most concerning issue, however, was the state of the wash basin as restroom facility seems to be unavailable at present. They were far from adequately maintained and fell below basic hygiene standards. This not only left a lasting negative impression but also raised questions about the overall cleanliness of the restaurant's kitchen and food preparation areas.
Hygiene is a fundamental aspect of any dining establishment, and it should never be compromised. I sincerely hope that Hotel Gavran Aasal Kholapuri Swad takes immediate and comprehensive steps to rectify these hygiene issues to ensure the health and safety of its patrons.
In conclusion, my experience at Hotel Gavran Aasal Kholapuri Swad was deeply unsatisfactory. The lackluster quality of the Pomfret Thali and Mutton Thali, coupled with indifferent service, make it difficult to recommend this establishment. There is ample room for improvement in all aspects of the...
Read moreGavraan is an excellent hotel, offering a delightful experience both in terms of taste and ambience. Here’s a breakdown of our meal:
Prawns Starter: We started with the prawns appetizer, which was well-cooked, and the masala added a burst of flavor. The size of the prawns was quite big, making it even more satisfying. Pomfret Fry: The pomfret was tasty, though we felt that the size didn’t quite match the pricing, but still enjoyable. Chicken Kala Sukka: A standout dish! The chicken kala sukka was rich in flavor, perfectly spiced, and paired wonderfully with the bhakri. Mutton Handi: This dish was another highlight, tender and flavorful. It complemented the chicken kala sukka perfectly. 3 Types of Bhakri: We tried jowar, bajra, and rice bhakri, and each one paired excellently with the curries, enhancing the authentic taste.
The restaurant offers ample seating space, which made the dining experience comfortable. The only downside was the slightly slow service, likely due to a shortage of staff. However, this didn’t overshadow the quality of the food.
I’m excited to return, especially to try their variety of thali options next time. Overall, it was a refreshing dining experience in Kalyan after a long time, and I’ll surely be visiting their other branch as well. Gavraan is definitely on my list of restaurants to revisit—a must-try for anyone looking for authentic flavors and a pleasant...
Read moreI can still feel the taste of Tambda Rasa I had last year in the amazing restaurant Dehati, Kolhapur. It has been more than a year I have had authentic Kolhapuri food. So, when i heard of a new kolhapuri joint and that too so close to my house i could not resist the temptation to try it out. I went to this place on Friday night with my wife. The place was packed and we were asked to wait for a table. We finally got a table after waiting for 30 minutes. We ordered one mutton thali and one chicken thali for both of us. A thali here consist of egg curry, main dish (mutton/chicken gravy), solkadi, jwari bhakri, jeera rice and bowl of tambda & pandra rassa. The food was very tasty, especially the mutton gravy and jwari bhakri. Pandra & Tambda rassa was amazing too. What i liked the most about this place is that every food item which come to your table is served piping hot. The staff is corteous and friendly. However, i think that they need to improve their...
