Sona Restaurant — Restaurant in Kannur

As foreigners we understand the curiosity of local people, and we respect it, that is why we answer around 200/300 questions a day like what is your name, which is your country, are you married, what is your job etc… is part of our daily routine of question to answer, but when I am in a restaurant I want to eat, I do not go there for an interview. I am in kannur from 3 weeks already, and I came to this place 4 times, every single time I came to this place, waiters and management keep asking questions, I am ok with basic questions, but when you go way to personal and you start to ask me where is my girlfriend, why she is not there, what job she does, what job I do, how much I make, which hotel I stay, and not happy you start to be too pushy with the food or with the service because you want a bigger tip, you pass way too much the limit of curiosity and good manners, especially because most of the time even if you answer, after 2 minutes somebody else will come and ask same question again This is the only reason why I won’t go back to this place, it is such a pity because some of the food they make is pretty good and some waiters are really nice and...

We ordered for takeout one lazy evening. They took an hour to deliver which they had informed earlier, since they dont usually do home delivery. They should reconsider this sometime. The wheat paratha and kerela parotta was lovely and soft. Nay patri was very dry and just forgettable. Curries were nice, but they mixed up one of our orders and sent some spicy hydrabadi gravy. That was decent since it was too late to reorder. Dint appreciate their justification blaming the billing system. I dont know what that means..but that was the repeated response. This restaurant is the OG family restaurant in Kannur, located in the heart of the town. The three-star is in comparison with the previous standard they had which was great and it turns a bit ‘OK’ now.
