Hotel Soft — Restaurant in Kannur

Had a worst experience today, ordered a single mutton biriyani and the mutton piece which i got from the biriyani was very very small one and out of it almost the piece was full of excess fat, i informed that to the supplier and he told that he will get me an extra piece which i was served again, a decent medium sized piece, still it had some fat in it which i was okay with..and when the bill arrived , i was charged 160 for the single biriyani and another 110 for that extra piece i was served again, so the total bill amount was 270,i took the bill and went to the counter to pay, i definitely wanted to tell about the small piece i received which was not at all worth for the money i was paying , i told about the incident to the cashier at the counter , he was least bothered about what i was saying and didn't even had the courtesy of atleast saying a sorry or didnt show any good gesture for what happened from their side..he didn't even uttered a word..i paid the whole amount of the bill and walked away .all i am trying to tell is ,they should atleast show some respect towards the customers and the bad experience faced by a customer from their restaurant. It was totally a ripping off from their side even letting them know what happened and they were very very ignorant towards the matter.I will never ever recommend this restaurant to...

Hotel soft is a joint which I make it a point to visit eveytime I come down to Kannur. I cherish the taste of their chicken biriyani when I stay away from Kerala and it is this taste which force me to visit Soft Hotel whenever I get a chance.

I am a hardcore biriyani fan and have tasted variety of biriyani's like hyderabadi, thalappakkatti, malabar, thalacheri, timore, andra biriyani etc. But the peculiar taste of the biriyani we get from Soft Hotel is not comparable with any other variety and should be given a new brand as 'soft biriyani'.

Here the biriyani is cooked using 'kaima rice' and the chicken is 'white leghorn'. White leghorn chicken is healthy compared to steroid injected broiler chicken and Hotel Soft is one of the rare joints in Kannur which serve white leghorn chicken. The taste of biriyani rice itself is special because of the ingredients added to it.

I have heard very good reviews about the biryani so wanted to try. We had ordered a bucket biryani . The quantity was really good. It contains five eggs, five chicken pieces and half chilly chicken.☺️ Was really struck by nostalgia when I saw eggs in chicken biryani. The biryani and the entire dish was really yummy yummy.I was really craving for a great mouth watering biryani. This taste is really awesome. Not sure if we could eat at the restaurant so peacefully because every time I pass the restaurant it used to be very crowded. That's why I suggest if you really want to try the biryani peacefully try take aways or home delivery so you could enjoy food at the comfort of your home. I am really happy with the taste and surely will keep coming back when my craving says yummy...
