Read moreOne word is Wow. Specially the Hyderabadi Biryani which taste really authentic and the way you get it delivered to your doorstep that is amazing. It is delivered in a Pot sealed from the top (to make it Dum Biryani), though it is really hot when delivered still they send an extra thing that you can use to keep it Hot. It takes almost 1:30 to 2 hours to reach your doorstep once you complete your order. But totally worth it. Selem could be better. The menu is palpably divided among Hyderabadi or the spicy kachcha (raw-cooked) biryani, Lucknowi or the medium-spicy pakkabiryani and Kolkata, with its unique taste and fortunate emphasis on potato as an ingredient. But with the categories, the place doesn’t refrain from innovating. For instance, the Peshawari chole biryani from the Hyderabadi part of the menu somehow works quite well—who knew chickpeas and salan went well together? The malaamal gosht biryani (incredibly rich in mutton), however, is where lies the real maal. While every variant isn’t necessarily worthy of biryani heaven, a sizeable proportion of them are. The galouti kebab on the flip side of the menu comes with a melt-in-your-mouth goodness that puts many of Delhi’s well-known galouti haunts to shame. So does the home delivery experience find any merit in the restaurant world? Well, while the former still dominates, the latter adds a perfectly nice touch. After your own, add another home to good biryani. TIMING...
Read moreI thought of a spacious restaurant and went in, and bam! It's basically a cloud kitchen, with just 2 tables with limited seats available. Big shock there, but the food was quite delicious actually.
We placed our orders and they asked us to wait for 30min as the food will get prepared after placing the order. Will place the order before and then come here to enjoy it next time.
They welcomed us with some roasted papads with 2 different dips/sauces (one minty and the other was garlic flavoured). I tried their Non Veg platter, which came with 2 Imli Adraki Lemonade and a mid spicy dip sauce/chutney. The fish and the chicken kebabs were good. The mutton galouti kebab couldn't entertain my taste palate, was less spicy and with a strong hint of garam masala, which is hitting as a back taste. The fish was the show stopper tbh. Next tried their Chicken Lucknowi Biryani, I was told it will be in mild spicy level. The biryani was good, Amount and Taste both. Was served with Salad and Raita. Lastly I tried their Matka Phirni, different from the ones we get in Kolkata. It was runny kheer type. Sweetness was balanced.
Overall a nice experience. Visit/try next...
