Sutta Chai Bar — Restaurant in Kanpur

I stopped by this tea stall cum small restaurant hoping for a quick, refreshing break, but the experience was a bit disappointing. The tea was below average with unbelievable price of 50 Rs the same tea you can buy from local street vendor for Rs 10 with "Chini rok ke-malai thok ke". Lacking the strong flavor and aroma one would expect from a good chai. The snacks were served lukewarm, and the freshness was questionable. Seating is limited and not very clean, Kulhad was dirty with dirt on it, and sitting place is adjacent to meat shop butchery place (abattoir), which makes it less comfortable to sit and enjoy your order because you will feel continuous foul smell. Service was slow even though there weren’t many customers. Prices are unreasonable, but overall, it felt like the place needs more attention to hygiene and promptness. The tea was not good and there was too much foam in it. You have to wait for 15 minutes for normal tea and half an hour for tea without sugar and these Chai Sutta bar people pretending to be busy which makes us think that there is a lot of crowds and it is taking a lot of time so the tea must be good, but fact is just opposite tea is not good. Name is Chai Sutta Bar but no Sutta (Cigarette) available and the funny thing is this they pinned a board "NO SMOKING" but everyone is Smoking Cigarettes openly. Moderately crowded average quality cafe with mostly open seating, eye catchy lights setup & outdoor music. The place is off-course not recommended for families and sophisticated guests because of the ambiance and lacking services. You will often see people roaming arround and smoking nearby. Cafés Menu has a limited variety of snacks and food options but not necessarily everything available round the clock. Taste of food is below average for some items like ‘white sauce pasta’ & ‘Kiwi cooler’ and few items like ‘veg role & sandwiches’ are okay but not so great. Also the service considerably lacks.

Very over exaggerated place to be .. it's mainly suitable for college kids or for someone with a gf or bf. 🤣 Budget friendly and open area to spend time ... But don't expect anything more...

Taste : Very avg. Quantity : Quite less (compare to others) Can't be enjoyed by two persons nicely... Your tummy will still curse you for still being hungry. Environment: avg. U need to pay extra by hour to sit in separate tents. Washroom : Don't go .. washbasin clogged with leaves, pathetic door, and filthy smell.

I have been to other CSB outlets and I find them very avg. Nothing great to talk about...Their USP is only being budget friendly for teenagers and students.
