Ajwa Restaurant in Mysore turned out to be an average dining experience overall. We tried a variety of dishes including roti, chicken biryani, chicken kebab, and chicken masala gravy. Among these, the chicken kebab stood out as the only dish that was truly enjoyable – it was well-cooked, juicy, and had good flavor. The roti was also just okay, nothing particularly impressive.
Unfortunately, the chicken biryani was quite disappointing. It lacked flavor, felt bland, and came with just two small pieces of chicken, which did not justify the price. At ₹250 + GST, the biryani felt overpriced considering the quality and portion size.
In general, the pricing seemed on the higher side, especially given the mediocre food quality. The place was surprisingly crowded, but we suspect this might be due to its high visibility from the main road – like us, many travelers may have stopped after noticing their display board, expecting...
Read moreI just had the most delightful experience at AJWA restaurant! The guy who took my order was so charming and friendly, I just couldn't resist his rude attitude and condescending tone. And the food? Absolutely incredible! I ordered a biryani, half Alfarm, butter roti, and naan - all of which were so terrible, I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.
The biryani was dry and flavorless, the soup was lukewarm and tasted like it had been sitting out for hours, the roti was stale and hard, and the naan was just plain old bread. Honestly, I can't believe this place is still in business.
If you're looking for a terrible dining experience and mediocre food, then by all means, check out AJWA restaurant. But if you have any taste buds or self-respect, I suggest you steer clear of this disaster of...
Read moreA sublime gastronomical experience. Me being a hardcore non-vegetarian, chose Ajwa for dinner and MAN is the food good. I got their tandoori chicken, pepper chicken fry, pepper prawn fry and a rumali shawarma. Talking about the chicken, I have never had such mouth-wateringly delicious tandoor items in my life. The prawns were cooked to ultimate perfection and were basically melt-in-your-mouth good. The rumali shawarma is the perfect choice if you want to eat something light that satisfies your hunger. The perfect thinness of the rumali roti and the perfect meat to veggies ratio just hit it out of the park for me. It is a must try if you are visiting Mysore and staying in Nazarabad. [I myself was staying in Fortune JP Palace just down...
