Went on a Friday afternoon so the crowd was less and even the staff at the restaurant were less(may be 3-4 in the food serving area).
Food - Had the following - Manchow soup , Beijing chicken, Chicken chouspsey, Prawn fried rice, Steamed Chicken momos. Liked the manchow soup though it was a bot spicy with many green chillies. There was a lot of manchow added to the soup and along with the meat and soup, it was a good combo. The Beijing chicken was good not so spicy - was saucy and tasty - had almost 10 average sized pieces with some peanuts and crunchy veggies - my kid liked it a lot. The prawn fried rice was average - nothing great to tell about - believe there were lesser prawns, one serving would easily fit for 2 people when combined with other dishes. The Chinese chouspsey(pic below) was good - the had asked if we wanted soft or crispy noodles - went with the soft choice - it was covered with egg/omlette, and with white sauce and many veggies (zucchini, carrot, capsicum, spring onion, pak choi leaves). Steamed Chicken Momos - There were about 9-10 pieces, the sauce provided along with it was good - not so spicy. The momos had good amount of chicken in it. Overall, the food was good and satisfactory.
Service, ambience and price - Service was ok , had to try a bit hard to get the attention but it could be because we were seated in a place where not much of the crowd was present and also could be because of it being a laid back day. But they did a nice job of serving the food. Ambience wise - there was a mild smell when we entered but it faded away or we got used to it in a while. The seating is good with space between the tables and few tables with outside view. Overall an ok ambience. The price was as expected a bit costly. For the food mentioned above , it costed...
Read moreWe had a very disappointing experience at Beijing Bites recently. We first ordered and ate Veg Chinese Chopsuey, which was fine. Then we started eating the Veg Green Thai Curry with steamed rice, and to our shock, my friend noticed a small worm in her curry.
We immediately informed the staff, but there was no apology or explanation. They just took the plate away silently. When we asked for the bill, it included both dishes. Only after we raised the issue did the staff say, "You can just pay for the chopsuey"—without any sense of responsibility or apology.
Unfortunately, in the shock and discomfort of the moment, we forgot to take a picture of the worm in the curry. We didn’t expect something like this to happen, so it didn’t occur to us at the time.
This experience was extremely disappointing, and the casual way it was handled makes us question the restaurant’s hygiene practices and professionalism. We hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving...
Read moreWe went for a dinner with extended family on a Friday night. The place was empty when we entered and it was nice initially but when people started coming in, it became sofacating. The place is sealed from all sides and a small A/C running is not enough to cover the whole place. We have ordered chilli chicken Dumsums and they have delivered chilli chicken. Before we could realise, kids had put the hand so didn't complain. Other items were ok but not great. We have visited Bejing bites in multiple locations in Bangalore and outside Bangalore but this was not on par with them. Service was below average. Only a couple of guys were serving around and finally the guy in cash counter also came out to serve. Overall, due to sofacating environment we were not able to enjoy...
