We were travelling in a group of 7 and decided to have dinner at The Coco Leaf. The food was very good, we thoroughly enjoyed it, so much, in fact, we ended up ordering too much and took some to go. I particularily loved the Chicken Tandoori, it was cooked and flavoured to perfection. All the appetizers we ordered were perfect as well.
Even better than the food, in my opinion, was the service. Our waiter spoke flawless and clear english and was very forthcoming and accurate with our orders. One of us had a very unconventional request for a Pizza and it was executed perfectly. Clearly the communication between Waiter and Kitchen staff was well established, an excellent quality for a Restaurant to have.
When we called for the bill, the waiter asked us if we had any criticism and we told him, that one dish was too salty. He relayed this to the kitchen, again highlighting the solid communication between staff, and didn't end up charging us for that dish. Needless to say we felt incredibly well taken of. With full stomaches and happy moods we left the lovely Athmosphere into a starlit night sky. Truly a perfect Evening. Thank you very much!
If you happen to find yourself in the area of Karnataka, and you would like to eat there or spend the night in the hotel, with the restaurant being this good, I can only imagine The Coco Leaf Hotel to be an equally good recommendation. If I find myself there again, I know where...
Read moreI'm not sure about the accommodations, but the meal we had last night was a disappointment. It all occurred when we drove the bikes for 160 kilometres to view a temple and found this weird restaurant heading back to our resort, coz it was said to be open till 00:30, so we went there and ordered some dinner. idk about the past history of this one but the current situation at night was terrible even though the ratings were fine. the waiter was trying to act so cool as if he's the main character well nvm his way of speaking and walking but the tadka dhal, we wanted it again so we ordered it but turns out it was looking different I asked him why it looked different. He answered no, it's the same, only the appearance is different; he could just tell me it was simple dhal. I'm from the north and dhal is frequently used in the north, so I know which type of dhal I ate and which dhal I'm about to eat, and the price was unreasonable enough but again it's a nice view you guys can just chill out there at night I'd say don't buy big meals there, it has nice views at night and the waves...
