Dosayish and biryani cafe - best restaurant in Mangalore — Restaurant in Karnataka

Update: They have responded saying I've had dosa on a previous ocassion, which isn't true. Haven't even managed to get it once, despite having tried multiple times. And no, there wasn't any board saying steamer under repair. They might have put it after I left, because I asked the staff if they have dosa, he said yes, I sat for 15 mins, then he said sorry some maintenance work is going on.

Another time same issue, went and sat for a good 25 mins, then they said gas is leaking, so we are shut. Good that they did it for safety no doubt, but my concern was why is a new place having so many issues and doing nothing about it.

Me and my friends gave this place literally 6 chances, and were disappointed all 6 times and only then have we written these reviews. Many negative reviews were posted in succession from different people because all of us had the same bad experience. Better that the brand understands it and tries to fix their issues rather than posting fake positive reviews from their friend's accounts to improve the rating.

Also I never said the biryani was bad, I just said that it's that only item that's readily available.

And no, honestly 6 attempts to get a dosa from these guys is more than enough, not going to waste my time, money and fuel to go try anything from there anymore.

But I wish the team loads of luck, because they will need it if they continue to run the business like this!

DON'T BE SCAMMED, THEY NEVER HAVE DOSA!

Whenever you go, most items from their already small menu are unavailable.

A couple of times we went and sat there, waited for long, no one at the counter or staff to ask if we wanted anything.

Two out of the five visits, after waiting 15 mins they said gas leakage and couldn't serve us. Other two times, they didn't have what we asked for, only biryani was available. The only time I managed to try their food was when they again had only biryani. Better rename it to Biryani adda rather than Dosayish.

Don't waste your time going here unless all you want is ready-prepared biryani, because nothing else will be available no matter what time you visit.

Being new entrants to the food industry CANNOT be an excuse after over 3 weeks of opening, and basics cannot be sorted.

Would have rated 0 if possible, and if you see across all my reviews, I never rate so low, so you can imagine how bad my experience would have been. Go at your own risk.

Do not go here seeing the fake reviews, this is the worst place I have visited. Firstly they don't have most the items mentioned in the menu. Secondly the service is too bad the person doesn't understand most of the items we ask for. We ordered for Chicken kabab and they gave the already prepared kabab that was store in refrigerator. Out of 5pcs only 3 were freshly prepared. The kababs were cold from inside, upon asking the lady in the counter she said it's bcz they semi fry it and then store it but they only 2pcs were like that and other 3 were normal. She couldn't say why other 3pcs were freshly prepared. Posting nice videos on insta doesn't help when the items are only...

Please don't get carried away by the false reviews saying the place is good, I personally had a terrible experience after consuming stale fish fry which we ordered as a takeout. We ordered the take out in the evening at around 7pm to have it at dinner time, the koddai rava fry and muru masala fry was stale and was not fit to be consumed. I tasted a bit of it at night and threw it in the dust bin, the next day I ended up suffering from food poison. I have no clue how can a restaurant supply a stale fish to their customers knowingly. I wouldn't recommend anyone to visit this restaurant if you really care about...
