I have no idea how this place has a 3 rating. It should be 5. The food is just as it was 15 years ago. Epic. And the service is incredible. I was doubting whether to come here seeing the rating but it isn't anything like what is mentioned. Everyone's so nice. I left an umbrella here and they kept it till I picked it up. They were all smiles. Everyone is in this city. And the fish here is next level. Everything is delicious. The ghee roast, the rava fry the prawns, the biryani, everything. I can't even recommend anything because everything is good. But neer dosa, kori roti, biryani, fish fry or curry, everything is just spot on. Try it blindly. You won't regret it.

Disappointed by the service and the food. The place was really good just from outside. We asked for AC but the staff would not respond. To give your orders you need to call the waiters a thousand times then if you are lucky they might come. Even after ordering you need to wait for at least 30 minutes to get the food on your table. The food is very average I would say. Don’t go in the afternoon especially on a summer. And most of the things when you ask isn’t available. Wouldn’t recommend this place because of the laziness of staff and also the food.

"I recently had an amazing experience at Gajali Hotel in Mangalore. The atmosphere was fantastic, creating a cozy and welcoming environment. The restaurant exceeded my expectations with their delicious food and excellent service. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure that I had a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend trying their [chiken roast , neer dose ,butter chiken], it was absolutely mouthwatering! Overall, I had a wonderful time at Gajali Hotel and I can't wait to visit again soon. 😊🌟"

If you want to earn those extra brownie points with your spouse, definitely take them to this spot in the evening. The outdoor seating gives an old-school leisurely officers club feeling, with the fairy lights contrasting the dark night sky. Would recommend Bombil Rawa Fry (it’s not exactly rawa, but it is definitely the flakiest bombil fry I had ever had) and squid ghee roast.

Gajalee is located in Kadri Mangalore. One of the famous sea food joint in Mangalore. Its house kind of restaurant. Located in the hill side. It’s famous for it cuisine. I loved thier squid ghee roast and shell sukka. Mouthwatering mackerel curry. Loved it so much. I would suggest you to visit there.
