Gowdru Mess — Restaurant in Karnataka

Been somewhat of a regular ever since their beginning which was their old location! The taste is really good and they've kept it the same ever since and also quality of the food is good as well. Not too much oil or over cooked/fried but all dishes are properly done. Almost all the dishes we've tried is good and only once we had way too much delay in service in all these years. Also the prices have gotten increased too much! Not happy with that. They shifted from the older crowded place to those bigger location which too might get crowded sometimes. If it gets crowded it'll be a tight squeeze. Still a 9/10 for this place. There's also a beeda shop right outside that has good number of options and are really good! I'm not a beeda eater but loved these...

I ordered shawarma,pulav rice, and pepper chicken, but the pepper chicken was the worst I’ve ever had. The taste was completely off, as if it was leftover or old food. It was overcooked, smashy, and almost stale—nowhere near the usual quality.

To make things worse, I found a bindi (a woman's sticker) in the dish! This was shocking and completely unacceptable. It raises serious concerns about the hygiene and preparation process in their kitchen.

this experience has left me really sad and disappointed because I never expected such carelessness from a restaurant I trusted.

I hope the management takes strict action to improve food quality and hygiene, as I wouldn't want this to happen to...
