The moment I stepped into that place, I knew we'd hit the jackpot. It was gorgeous, with this awesome vintage feel. And the music? It totally matched the whole vibe they were going for. Cozy and vintage? I was totally on board!

We decided to order pizza. They had a variety of thin crust pizzas. We wanted to taste two different flavors, and they offered us an option to choose half and half—half of one and half of the other at the price of just one! I was amazed. This is such a great option for people who want to try a little bit of everything and choose what they like! So, we went with their ham and cheese and ghee roast flavors. Both were delicious! The ghee roast was more flavorful. If you're craving Indian spice, this is the flavor to go for. The ham and cheese was good too! If you're trying to avoid Indian spices and go full-on Italian mode, this is the one!

They had other amazing pizzas too, which we weren't able to try that day. We even got a macchiato for a drink and a chamomile tea. The owner was such a sweet lady. I wasn't able to choose between the desserts, so she helped me choose based on what I was craving at the moment. I told her I wanted something creamy and cheesy, and she said she had four options available: the original cheesecake, the yuzu cheesecake, the Japanese cotton cheesecake, and one more that I can't remember. We went with options two and three, the yuzu cheesecake and the fluffy Japanese cotton cheesecake. Both were amazing. The Japanese cotton cheesecake just melted in my mouth, while the yuzu cheesecake was so creamy and cheesy, just the way I like it! Overall, it was a truly delightful experience. I live in Bangalore and I was exploring the city. I was suggested by a friend to come to the Mangalore Baking Company. I think it is a wonderful café and bakery.

I walk up to the café through the pretty cobblestone walk with lights and flowers, it made me feel at home.

I open the door and I enter into a warmly-light room. I loved the ambiance and personal touch the restaurant had. The manager was very kind and helpful.

I sat down and looked at the various options in the menu, and settled for the mushroom quiche, cold coffee and a lotus biscoff cheesecake.

The mushroom quiche had a tasty and warm tart pastry and the filling was perfectly baked. Tasty sums it up.

The cold coffee was KILLER! It was a good balance between strong and sweet. I personally love a strong coffee. Highly recommend it, because my friend almost stole it from me.

Lastly, the Biscoff cheesecake. A classic dessert, one of my go-to desserts, that I had high hopes for given the quality of the food served and the looks of it from the table beside me. And it did not disappoint. Has to be one of the best cheesecakes. Very light, creamy, and not too sweet. Absolutely delicious.

I can feel how much care, effort, and passion has been put into this place through the food and positive attitude of the service. It's a haven in Mangalore for a good food experience. Gonna definitely come back to the Mangalore...

Mangalore Baking Company offers baked goods of various kinds & beveragesin Mangalore.

Food: Tiramisu: The tiramisu is one of the highly recommended in the city. Personally, I felt it was good but the bottom layers of the sponge and soaked ladyfingers could have been better. If you haven't tasted a Tiramisu, then it's worth a try. Japanese Cheesecake: The consistency was good and quite fluffy, however the flavour of egg was quite overpowering. This was my first time tasting a Japanese Cheesecake, so I'm not sure if that is how it's suppose to taste. If yes, then I don't think it's something I'd have again. Americano: It's a decent cup of Joe, had better ones. Quite honestly, I feel it be slightly on the pricier end. Worth a try though. Korean Cheese Bun: I quite liked it. It was sufficiently cheesy! It was delicious. Must give it a try. Breads: Their breads are one of the best in town. I enjoy the sourdough and baguettes. They are made to order. Quite good.

Ambience: They have a nice cafe space, a complete change from their previous setup. A new experience of the MBC ☺️

Value for money I personally feel they are slightly on the pricier end, but they are good. Give it a try and decide for yourself!

Mangalore Baking Company is a must visit and I was delighted to see this cozy lil cafe in the midst of the city. It has a great ambience and lots of good vibes. It has indoor and outdoor seating and is located around lush greenery. The decor and art all around the place gives it an upbeat and artistic feel. A really cool hangout for any occasion and I am sad I hadn't heard of it earlier. I took along with me the Tiramisu, the Brownies and the Chicken Lasagna and all three were definitely 5 star in taste, packaging and presentation. The staff are friendly and considerate and I learnt of this cafe after the demise of its founder a bright young star called Oshin. The passion, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of her and her friends who started and run this cafe is admirable and I was delighted to have visited here. Looking forward to trying more delicacies there. A perfect spot for couples, singles, families, and small or big groups. Hoping they organize events and host local musicians and artists to complete the perfect vibe of this place. I would recommend them to anyone visiting Mangalore.
