(🌟= Great / Must-try, ⭐= good but not a must-try) The ambiance and service are good. 4 different waitresses attended us while we ordered different items at different points of time. And they suggest the best sellers too when asked. There were 9 of us, and we ordered many more items than the ones in the photos, and the bill came to around 430 per person.Quite reasonable for how much we ate. For starters, we ordered "Bulb Chicken" and "Tandoori Lollipop". 🌟 The bulb chicken was piping hot. It is a flat piece of chicken breast(I'm sure it was a breast piece, do correct me if I'm wrong) folded with a tasty Scrambled egg stuffing and a semi-dry gravy. It was Delicious. You'll get 7 pieces on a plate. 🌟 Tandoori Lollipop was delicious too. Since they are lollipops, they are very small bite-sized pieces. Very smoky, delicious, and the mustard oil oozing out was Yum yum yum. You'll get 8 pieces on a plate. For the main course, we ordered Chicken White sauce Pasta, Chicken Butter Chilli Garlic Noodles, Butter Naan, Chicken Lajeeb, Chicken special biryani, and chicken fried rice. 🌟Chicken white sauce pasta was pretty good, the consistency was right, and tasted good. 🌟 Butter Naan with Chicken Lajeeb(forgot the exact name, was it Lajeeb/Lajeez) was a very great combination. The waitress suggested chicken Lajeeb when I asked which chicken curry is a best seller and goes well with naan. It certainly did. If you don't like noodles and pasta as a meal and you prefer North Indian, then at cherry square this naan and chicken Lajeez is a great combination. ⭐The chicken Butter Chilli Garlic noodles, tasted good but it had a little bit of a bad eggy🥚 smell. Not a big fan, but it tasted good. Some may like the eggy smell and some may not. I did not. ⭐ Chicken special biryani, did take a lot of time to arrive. But it was steaming hot and I mean very very hot, hence I presume it was made fresh. I didn't get to taste though, as my plate was already occupied, but I recall my friends saying it was delicious. ⭐Chicken fried rice was good but needed a kind of sauce to go with it. It felt dry so definitely order something saucy to go with it or maybe just ketchup if you like it. For beverages, we ordered Lime soda, lime juice, carrot juice, pineapple juice, and a kulfi shake. I had the Kulfi shake as the waitress suggested that it's a good option in milkshakes. 🌟 Kulfi Shake is delicious and refreshing. A Very thick shake, with figs and nuts on top. And very very chilled. Don't drink too quickly, you might get a brain freeze. Pineapple juice and lime soda were also good. Carrot juice was not that good, but fine. For dessert, of course, we ordered the best seller and what this place is mostly known for, "Some Like it Hot". 🌟 Some Like it Hot, is a very creative dessert available here. It has a scoop of a very delicious vanilla ice cream on top of a slab of chocolate brownie on a sizzler plate. The waitress gets it to the table and will pour a shot of chocolate syrup on the ice cream. The syrup starts sizzling as it flows on the hot plate. Then comes a very generous amount of cashew nuts on top. The vanilla ice cream is delicious on its own, the syrup and cake with nuts just elevate the ice cream to a whole new level. But be careful of the syrup and brownie that is touching the plate and is sizzling hot, you might end up burning your tongue if not careful. And the only thing I don't like about it is that once the ice cream is all gone and there's a bit of syrup left, it will be very very sweet as it is caramelized due to the heat, only people who have a very sweet tooth might like the leftover, and not to mention the lower part of the brownie will be burnt and stuck to the pan forever, and with the sticky caramelized syrup, they get stuck to the spoon as well. Kinda annoying. But at the end of the day, it is a very delicious dessert and a must-try. Overall experience was great 👍 I will definitely visit this place again for sure.

This is good place to dine in for the ice creams, Beautiful clean restaurant with plenty of greenery, Small place they utilize so well for the gardening. Ambiance is so beautiful, Sitting area is nice, Restrooms are hygienically maintained very clean. Employees are professional, service is ok type, they just serve food platters on the table, We have to help ourself. There is no silver serving. Flip side of this restaurant is food!! Food is just bellow average. They have a mutton paya soup which is authentic. Non of the starters or main course doesn’t have a spices or marination are good, Everything is flavorless. Big down slide for this place is,, they use lot of food color, ( see the pictures ) Green chutney, Manchurian, and chicken lollipops have lots of food color in it Green and Red color is visibly too much. Prices are reasonable. Food is is definitely bellow average. Only 2 and 1/2 stars for the food. Overall Not BAD. You can dine in just for the change.

It is one of the oldest cafe / restaurants in mangalore.. Pocket friendly too.. Indoor and outdoor seating is available.. We are allowed to get cakes for celebration... Ambiance is good both inside and outside.. If you are visiting this palce fr lunch then Indoor seating is recommended to escape from scorching heat of the sun... Place is spacious.. Staff service is good when we went it was not over crowed so delicious food also was served on time.. Pepper garlic mushroom was good with the spicy nd garlic flavours added on to it.. Crispy American corn was also good it was sauted with other veggies.. Golden garlic fried rice didn't like it as it didn't have tht kick of garlic flavors probably it would be better if extra dish was taken along with it. Some like it hot is a must try desert here... Parking is bit difficult here.. Washroom is clean

Cherry Square has been a old stomping ground for me. I have been here several times, with school friends, college friends, reunions, cousins et al.

The restaurant is situated near St. Agnes, and it's really hard to get a glimpse of it from the road, as it is under a thatched roof, and well covered. On a typically hot day in Mangalore, it's a good place to unwind.

The ambience gets even better during the evenings, when the climate is cooler, and the lighting is dim.

Cherry Square has a very good selection of North Indian cuisine, starters and main course. Paneer and chicken items, obviously are the most popular here. I, however, haven't really had the Chinese cuisine here.

The USP of this place, though is "Some like it hot". It is experiential, as the waiter prepares most of it on your table, so you get to exhume chocolatey fumes. There have been times though, when the brownie was too hard, but it's rare.

Another sundae, the Chocolate War, however has disappointing quantity.

Overall, a good place to spend with...
