Went there after reading such amazing reviews.... to my disappoint my experience wasn't like the review. The view - view is good but not exceptional as mentioned in some reviews. u can see the ocean at a distance, I think the namaste cafe is on the beach and definitely better view. Location:The road leading to this place is horrible...extremely horrible . Food: not too many options and whatever we ordered was just okey.. they don't even give any sauces with fries ..again over exaggeration in the reviews. And the waiter was so hesitant giving me some honey extra on request....I mean they could just charge me extra! The namaste cafe and this small other cafe we ate at in gokarna ,forgot the name had very good food for sure. Ambience : very dull... may be because it's not season so can't complain about that. Music was good when we entered, but in just few mints a guys sitting there just shut the music as he had to be on a zoom call!! (Mostly someone from the cafe itself). After that they played bad slow lobby jazz...I almost went to sleep ! Cleanliness: there was food fallen on bench that I had to clean myself . Table I understand but common clean the bench too!!Though the waiter offered to clean it when he saw me doing it myself...which was sweet....but shouldn't he had done it before I did already .
See the place is not horrible but nothing special either ..just some kinda weird hype i guess..there is scope to improve for sure....
Read moreI recently dined at Mantra, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance of the restaurant is simply captivating, blending modern elegance with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It's a place where you can relax and enjoy a meal that feels both luxurious and comforting.
The food at Mantra is nothing short of extraordinary. Each dish is a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. From the appetizers to the desserts, every bite was a delight to the senses. The menu offers a diverse range of options, catering to both traditional tastes and adventurous palates.
However, what truly made our dining experience unforgettable was the outstanding service provided by our waiter, Deepak. From the moment we were seated, Deepak was attentive, courteous, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He made excellent recommendations and ensured that every aspect of our meal was perfect. His friendly demeanor and genuine care for our dining experience added a personal touch that made us feel valued as guests.

Read moreDuring our trip to Gokarna, we went to Mantra Cafe thrice because it was totally worth it! The ambience, food, hospitality and the vibe is unmatched!
We ordered the Egg Chilli Pepper, Crispy Mushroom Pepper Dry, Veg. Juicy Burger, Paneer Ghee Roast, , Creamy Mushroom Pasta, Chilli Garlic Egg Rice, Trippy Shrooms Pizza, Potato Wedges, French Fries, Masala Peanuts, Tandoori Mushrooms, Paneer Tikka Pizza, Hot Chocolate and Cold Coffee.
The Chilli Garlic Egg Rice was so good that we ordered it on all occasions. A must-have! Even the French Fries were excellent. The Potato Wedges aren't cut in the typical wedgy way but still taste amazing.
For someone who went to the cafe half-drenched on a rainy day, the Hot Chocolate was perfect! Just the right consistency and taste.
The Egg Chilli Pepper, Crispy Mushroom, Burger, Pasta and Masala Peanuts were all good. If you like Thin Crust, go for the pizzas. The Cold Coffee was a bit on the watery side but still tasted good.
Being a Mangalorean, the only thing that didn't meet my expectations was the Paneer Ghee Roast, but I guess I can give them some leeway.
As our final night was a Saturday, it was elevated by a Live Music program that took place there. Three hours of pure bliss!
Mantra Cafe is a must-visit for anyone going to Gokarna! You will...
