I went to this restaurant after seeing few youtube reviews from popular food bloggers in Bengaluru.
Firstly, the menu is very big and the restaurant staff has no clue of many of the items. When I asked which fish they use in "Nellore Chepala Pulusu", the staff who served us has absolutely no clue about it. I understand most of them are from different parts of the country, but none of them are trained enough about the Andhra dishes that are displayed in the menu. Mayuri is a big brand, but I didn't find it unique in terms of offering authentic telugu dishes. When enquired about the chef, the staff told me that the chef himself do not understand the nuances of telugu dishes. Lot of overhauling needs to be done for Restaurant staff. I didn't find them professional nor customer focussed nor well trained. A big red flag for me.
In terms of taste, I found the Nellore Chepala Pulusu and Nellore chicken biryani as decent. Portion size is good, quantity is good. However, I didn't find them authentic. I felt it's an adaptation of telugu recipes, but with not much success.
The restaurant has good ambience, well maintained washrooms and spacious seating arrangements. The valet parking is a challenge since they have only one person who receives and delivers the vehicle all by himself. Which means, there is a waiting time if he is attending multiple vehicles. And let me warn you, the keys are not safe since they are kept inside a box, and no one manning the valet counter when the person goes for a pickup of drop.
I didn't find worth to travel 15KMs to try this restaurant. My love for andhra food is the only driver to try this out, but I am disappointed. My intent is to share the critical feedback that can be improved upon, but not to degrade the restaurant. Lot of ground to be covered. Please start with your...
Read moreUNACCEPTABLE SERVICE, TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE – NEVER GOING BACK TO MAYURI NEELADRI AGAIN!
I’m absolutely appalled by the horrific experience my family and I had at Mayuri Neeladri on Sunday, March 16th, 2025. This was, without a doubt, the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. A group of 12 of us arrived expecting a pleasant meal, but what we got was a nightmare from start to finish.
First, we waited 45 minutes just to be seated. Despite several empty tables, no one helped us, and we had to combine three tables ourselves. The manager took 20 minutes to take our order, and after waiting for over 90 minutes, we received incomplete food. They forgot key items like pappu with the Andhra meals, and no one brought us plates or glasses until we asked multiple times.
By the time we canceled the mutton biryani and veg pulao, we were completely fed up. The service was incredibly slow and unprofessional. No one apologized or even took responsibility. To top it off, there was no finger bowl provided, and we had to wash our hands in the restroom.
The overpriced food and lack of service make this place a joke. They clearly cannot handle large groups, especially on weekends, and the staff is completely untrained. If you value your time and money, DO NOT GO HERE. I will never return and strongly advise others to avoid it as well.
ZERO stars if I could give it. Horrible service, terrible food, and a complete disregard for...
Read moreWe visited this on 21st March. Food we have ordered: Mutton bamboo biryani Apricot delight Tandoori Pomfret
Pros: Good ambiance & Great service Though the size was small, Pomfret tasted yum Food presentation is good
Cons: Don't use the name "Authentic Andhra" if you put "Raisins" in your biryani. This will be my one big reason to NOT visit that place nor recommend. Like who puts Raisins in biryani bro? Ruined the entire taste. Bamboo biryani is priced at a whopping ₹1,200. Hardly 2 PPL can eat. I myself can finish it. Price was high, quantity was little, taste is ruined by Raisins and no bamboo flavour, mutton meat seemed old (mudhuru mamsam) and did not cook properly. Apricot delight is a big utterflop. It's too dry. The raita contains a lot of cucumber chops and is very loose (not rich) That's not how u eat in Andhra (if you are authentic Andhra like you advertise, the raita should be thick and rich with lot of onions, little to no cucumbers) Onions served were stale. I think they've chopped them a day before. Not freshly cut. Prices are extremely high for the taste and quantity these guys provide. Finger bowls given are not hot at all. They are cold.
Final note: I'm scared to go next time because what if I get pineapple / peomegranate this time in my biryani?
Please fix these and let us know, so that we would visit back and bring more...
