Cow and calf statue is good. Expensive place. Mini tiffin is worthy, we took 4 mini tiffin , upittu, kesaribath, pongal, idli, vade, dose, bill attached in the photos. Ambience is good. Light waterfalls around banyan tree Parking is good. This place welcomes you with a striking cow and calf statue that immediately catches your eye. The setting feels calm and inviting, with soft lighting and gentle water features that create a light waterfall effect around a large banyan tree. The ambience gives the impression of a peaceful garden and sets the mood for a slow, relaxed meal. Parking space is ample and convenient, making it comfortable for families and groups.
The mini tiffin is the highlight of the menu and offers great variety in a single plate. We ordered four mini tiffins and enjoyed a spread of South Indian classics such as upittu, kesaribath, pongal, idli, vade and dose. Everything arrived hot and fresh. The kesaribath carried a rich ghee aroma and just the right sweetness. The pongal tasted warm and mildly spiced, perfect for a comforting breakfast. The vade was crisp on the outside and soft inside, while the dose added that familiar South Indian flavour to complete the meal.
Prices lean toward the higher side, making it better for an occasional treat than a regular stop. For easier access, it helps to take the service road, since reaching it from the expressway requires a long detour. A visit here is worthwhile for the pleasant atmosphere, the nature inspired setting around the banyan tree and the satisfying mini tiffin experience.

Read moreThis is my usual stop from decades whenever I'm traveling from Mysore to Bengaluru. After the ban of two wheeler on Mysore road my visits have significantly dropped. Even if I travel by car, the inconvenience of getting into the service road from express way has restricted me from visiting this restaurant.
Nevertheless, if hunger attacks you on the drive then this restaurant is highly recommended by me.
As far as I know, this is the only restaurant on this stretch of road which is delivering consistent quality of food over the years. I love South Indian breakfast items here like Masal Dose, idli, Vada & Maddur Vada. Yup, Maddur Vada is a must here. Juices and other hot beverages are equally good.
Service can be improved as the tables on the self-service area usually get neglected when it comes to cleaning and the stewards lack compassion. However, food gets to your table in time.
The restaurant is built around a big tree and it gives an old school vibe to this restaurant. I personally like the vibe of the service area.
They do accept both card & UPI payments. Washroom hygiene is good and they have very good parking space. Bikes can be parked right next to the self-service area which helps customers to keep an eye over their bikes & luggage / accessories tied on to it while having...
Read moreWorst experience. DO NOT GO TO SHIVALLI RESTAURANT on Bangalore Mysore expressway.
This is my 3rd visit to SHIVALLI restaurant, and always my son has fallen sick, vomitting, loose motions, etc. i have always blamed it on his motion sickness. But this time it wasnt the case.
We 6 adults, 2 kids and 1 infant visited SHIVALLI restaurant on 14.1.24, and had our worst experience. All the adults and kids and infant suffered from loose motions the next day. I suffered with loose motions atleast 10 times, vomitting, acute acidity and fever. We ordered Masala dosa, masala poori, dhai poori, idly, rava idly and coffee. We are suspecting that they are using artificial chemical taste enhancers or not maintaining cleanliness in cooking and cleaning or bad oil. I totally agree that the taste of the food is outstanding, but all of suffered with loose motions. We are sure that it is because of shivalli as most of got burps of masala dosa or whatever we ate in SHIVALLI RESTAURANT.
I strongly recommend not to go to this restaurant and spoil your health. We wanted to celebrate sankranti, but all day all of us suffered.
There is no point eating tasty food and suffering with health issues. These restaurants don't care what quality they use, and what I'll effects are on...
