At the entrance itself you will feel the vibrance. A series of photographs of great personalities which takes through the history of India welcomes you from the entrance. There are enough tables 4 big groups and everywhere it's clean and tidy. All the glasses kept on the table for drinking water where so cleaned but made of stainless steel not glass. We had a full normal Biryani(Rs. 190/-) and half Jhakkas Biryani(Rs. 210/-). Normal Biryani was very good in taste. Jhakkas Biryani is a must try even if it is just enough for a single person it has so much of ingredients like cardamom, clove, ghee, cashew etc. Even the masala taste so good. The chicken pieces in Jhakkas Biryani was not that great but those in the normal one was excellent. There are seafood options available and plenty of veg items. But the price of the seafood items may very according to the availability. Not so pocket friendly. The salad that most of the hotels provides for free was so fresh. The chopped onions where so fresh and cleaned properly, the lemon wedges were so fresh and tender. Perhaps the best I ever had in Belgaum. The service was very nice. They even wait till we finishes one to serve the next dish. It is a must try if you are going out with your family. But the only place which couldn't stand up to the quality of the exterior appearance was the gent's washroom. It could have been better. There is enough separate parking space in the hotel for two wheelers and...
Read moreAs a Mangalorean, I’m writing this review with disappointment. We recently visited the so-called Panjurli restaurant, hoping to experience authentic food. Unfortunately, we faced uncomfortable moments due to the irresponsibility of the staff.
When asked if we preferred the AC or NON AC section, we opted for the AC section. The staff led us there and seated us. However, the seat where my husband and I sat were completely wet, the cushion had just been washed and soaked with water. Because of this my jumpsuit got completely soaked with water and so did my husband's jeans.
It wasn’t until later that I overheard the staff chatting in a corner and realized the owner was from Mangalore. Since this is a Mangalorean-owned restaurant, I felt even more compelled to share my disappointment with their hospitality. The staff standing nearby were just starring, showing no concern or action. Completely irresponsible attitude of the restaurant staff.
Kudladakkulna maryade encha deppochi marre please. (Mangalorean people's image don't put...
Read more— Extremely Disappointed with Panjurlli, Belgaum
I had a really disappointing experience at Panjuri in Belgaum. The food served there might taste okay when you dine in, but the moment you take a parcel — the story changes completely!
To my shock, they pack the food in thin plastic bags instead of proper aluminium foil or food-grade containers. Seriously? In this day and age, when everyone knows how harmful hot food in plastic can be, they’re still doing this? 😒
Not only does it affect the taste of the food, but it’s also terrible for health. It shows a complete lack of concern for customers’ well-being and basic hygiene standards. For a restaurant that seems decent from the outside, this is absolutely unacceptable.
I’d strongly suggest they immediately switch to safer and eco-friendly packaging — because no good food is worth risking your health for. Until then, I wouldn’t recommend taking a parcel from...
