The main highlight of Asmak Seafood Restaurant is, without a doubt, the food itself. You can walk right up to the kitchen area where the fresh fish is displayed, pick the one you want based on size and weight, and they immediately tell you the price. The catch is simple-they mainly prepare it as a grill or a fry, depending on your choice, and it will be served fresh to your table.

Naturally, there’s a slight delay in serving, but that’s expected because the fish has to be marinated, cooked fresh, and then brought out. During evenings and holidays the place gets quite busy, so it’s best to reserve a table. The process is smooth: choose your fish, tell them whether you prefer grill or fry, get a token, and wait for it to be served.

The first-floor seating is beautiful, very well maintained, and offers an amazing view of the Vizhinjam International Seaport, which adds to the whole experience.

We didn’t just stick to fish dishes-we also ordered coin parotta and a few other sides, all of which were tasty and well-prepared. But the real surprise highlights were the Goli Sodas (we started with one and ended up ordering several, especially the green apple flavor) and the Sulaimani (so refreshing that we kept ordering more). To our delight, when we checked the bill, the Sulaimani wasn’t even charged-making it feel more like a thoughtful customary gesture from the restaurant.

The coordination of the staff, the cleanliness, the warm welcome, and the way everything is managed made the whole visit truly memorable. For us, it will remain one of those food experiences we’ll always remember, and it’s a place we will definitely visit again with family and friends.

We frequently visits vizhinjam harbour resturants for the first time we opted ASMAK SEA FOOD RESTAURANT had a wonderful dinner at Asmak restaurant vizhinjam, when we reached there they instructed us to select the fish from their fish garrage which was next to their resturant the man who was in charge there explained us about the fish and we selected one from there itself he billed it gave a receipt and informed us to give it while giving order in the table.

After a few minutes of waiting we got seat boy came to pickup the order we gave the receipt for the fish we booked first and gave order for squid fry, prawns fry , chiippi, appam and parotta.

There was little bit of waiting as that was a busy day and the food came , everything we ordered had met the quality and quantity. Especially the kalanji fry.

Special mention to the sulaimani served there is pure bliss.

Highly recommend the Asmak restaurant in vizhinjam in quality of food, service was also well maintained by the team as the place have crowd all the time.

Main highlight of the place is we can enjoy the tast sea food with a view of Vizhinjam Harbour and the fishing boats which adds such a great dinning Experience. Especially with the harbour lights...

The worst food I have ever had in my life On 24/11/2024 me and my wife go over the place and had a Hamoor grilled fish we couldn't manage to had that fish so we request thum to grill it again and we tried to have but it really feel so bad even to taste and smell so we took the half of the fish as parcel and we get some other food from near by restaurant we got stomach issues and wife was admitted critical in hospital That night we stayed In a near by open resort so we keep the food out side our room, next day while I come to the room to get the league I found that the rest of the food had eaten by crow but still this food remain there it self / crows eat waste food but even it refuses to have this ( later we enqured in local and find a story that nun of the fishes they are buying from there all come from Vishag even local people don't use to try on those place for your safety don't...
