This place is quite substantial I must say. Located just at the shores of the beach at a considerable height from the ocean provides a terrific, breathtaking and intriguing view that truly satisfies and calm your mind, heart and soul. You can see the lighthouse, the hills, the amazing sunset and the sunrise from the resort which is truly fascinating. The room were large enough with extra beddings, sofa and other stuffs as per the requirement of the customers. As soon as we reached the premises of the resort I spotted a peacock and that truly amazed me. It was indeed quite playful. The resort has two swimming pool so you can literally enjoy and have great fun playing with your family, friends or simply sit at the terrace or the platform of the resort to watch the sea and relax. It is one of the perfect spot to relax your mind I must say. As the resort is overally built along the slopes so it is widely distributed at various levels so you need to be bit prepared to walk some stairs and slopes while walking around , especially when heading towards the ocean. As it is situated along the seashores various markets, shops and artifacts can be seen across the coast so you can even chill while taking a walk maybe that's one of the major reason why the place was flooded with foreign crowd like I found most of people were foreigner tourist with scarce population of Indian tourists. Kovalam is truly one of the best spot for vacation the only thing felt like a set back is the high pricing of the area. Like each and every item of this place was way too high and the prices were sky rocketing. The restaurant at the resort was fine in order of food but not something that great or amazing, however the delay in services was really frustrating. Lovely stay. Great hospitality. Very quick room service. House-keeping service is also very good but limited to 8 a.m to 5 p m. only. Not sure if this was the timings for off-season only. However house-keeping department would make it sure if we needed anything else before their departure. They would even fill up all empty bottles with water before leaving. I can never forget the amiable behavior and really helpful attitude of MD himself. He customized our food himself going to the kitchen to give the chef proper instructions. Food not awesome but good. Power cut is a general problem in this area but they were so quick to give the generator service that we didn't feel the problem of power cut at all. Front office was very pleasant and helpful. The best view , in fact , awesome, is from the suit in Palace and we stayed there . You can see lighthouse, sea-waves, sunset lying on bed. Great discount was available due to off-season. There are some other sea - view rooms categorized as palace sea-view rooms. There are direct pool access from lower level rooms, proper sea-view is not possible from those rooms. Rooms, washroom are very clean, linens also. Huge property, but not properly maintained . Rooms and surroundings are maintained but not the whole property. Swimming pool is very clean and Well-maintained. But there is lack of maintenance everywhere except the areas which are regularly used. They should pay attention to the maintenance and beautification of whole property. We felt little bit sad as such a nice property is not maintained properly.
