The owner chatted to me. He doesn't talk to Indians. Maybe they're not silly enough to eat there. He told me how good the food was. Every dish. Consistently. He told me not to laugh. But the grilled fish was covered in some gloopy sauce. It did taste better than it looked. But the fish was horrible. Inedible. Chewy and dry!! I couldn't eat most of it and told the waiter to bring the bill and take the food away. After waiting some time I asked again for the bill. It was brought with by a smiling maitre de. He hadn't been informed I couldn't eat the meal. Anyhow I paid my 600R.s and felt cheated for trusting some slimy owner promoting his business to foreign tourists. Do not waste your time here. It was nice experience to know the success story of a BSF retired fellow setting up the Cafe post corona attracting visiting tourists across the globe at Varkala beach in Kerala. Existing staff of 16 members awaiting 06 new members in peak season from December to May. The cafe has a blend of veg and non veg continental dishes with bar facilities.
