Terrible Tasteless Food ..

Food : The menu states "All Day Everything", however we reached there at 10.45am and they had no items expect 3 items, Chapati, Kerala Parota and Veg biryani. Ordered chapati with curry and Kerala Parota with curry. The chapati was dry and tasteless curry. The Kerala Parota was rubbery and dry too. The curry was just ok. We saw that many people had leftover food as they couldn't eat the terrible food , even the ice cream served was melted in watery.

Service: Very Slow . The order took almost 30mins. Their kitchen is somewhere else in upstairs and only one guy is at reception to serve and manage everything.

Ambiance: Equally bad. Too small place next to a big hotel.

Good quality vegetarian restaurant near Varkala beach.Very good treat for the tourists. Tiffins - Dosa, Vada, Idly etc tastes great and delicious. Waiters are responsive. Though the restaurant is located at the tourist place, they charge food items at very nominal rate. A vada costed just Rs 10 at tourist place is surprising. Indian food with Indian prices. As a foreigner, I don’t like the idea of supporting the expensive cliffside restaurants by paying 3-5x the price for something as simple as a dal, so choosing one of the only restaurants in the area that still serve authentic delicious indian food at normal prices is a no-brainer.

I urge other foreigners to consider the negative impact we have to the local economy when we accept the “western price”.
