We recently visited Ebonys Cafe Restaurant in Kumily and had an overall pleasant experience. The food was delicious and had a distinct taste, though not entirely authentic to specific cuisines. The portions are smaller, but that’s expected from a cafe rather than a dhaba.
What stood out the most was the unique and relaxing ambience. The retro music from the 80s and 90s added a nostalgic touch, making it a cozy spot for a quick bite. The service is a bit slow, but that’s because they prepare fresh food without relying on ready-made gravies, which I appreciate.
A few things to keep in mind:
Parking can be tricky, so it’s better to visit by bike, on foot, or in an auto-rickshaw.

The garlic chicken and 2 chappathis were burnt to the extent that it was inedible. When we pointed out to them they had no problem reducing it from the bill - which made us realize that they served the dishes in spite of knowing it was burnt and to charge us if we didn’t point it out. Pasta dishes took almost 45 minutes to be served. The chicken in it were big cubes - as big as the size of the chicken pieces served in boneless dishes- many pieces were not cooked well and felt rubbery. They did not even serve us water and glasses until we...
