Read moreThe place is located right next to the BISMI showroom on Kochi Salem Highway at Kalamassery. Easily visible from the main road due to all the lighting. Plenty of space to park. It is reasonably crowded. All good reasons to make a visit. There is quite a bit of waiting before you get a place to sit and then another long wait for someone to attend. Once you got their attention then it was realtively easier. Only after you get a table you realise it is quite uncomfortable with people in waiting eyeing you constantly. I guess the regulars might have devloped a thick skin to that discomfort. The overall hygiene is average. We found the wash area in an extremely sorry state. The washroom was in desperate need of cleaning. That itself took away half the charm and we kind of regretted the plan to have a dinner outing here. We asked for chicken biriyani but we were told it had already finished (Time 7:45 pm). We finally decided on a curry and paratha which seemed a quick option for a quick dinner. To our surprise, the food was served relatively quickly but sadly the food was served cold. Once served the waiter was nowhere to be found for any additional requests. The quantity, taste and quality of the food left much to be desired. The meat was sufficiently cooked though but the flavour was nothing to write home about. After the cold meal we had no mood for a desert. The bill was reasonable. However with the kind of service and the food provided, it felt like a wasted evening. It has a potential to be a good joint and probably a fine-dining place, but lacks a certain sense of direction and organizing among the staff. There also needs to be someone who watches over the hygiene of the place because without it, this place would lose out on very many...
