Sugar-free fresh fruit cake that was beyond heavenly!

So when my brother asked me to order a sugar-free cake for my mother’s birthday, I thought to myself, well I’ll just have one piece for the sake of it when its cut cause who likes that taste of sugar-free sugar anyways?

Then I ordered the cake at Grand Lounge, which made a huge change towards my aversion to sugar-free products. Since it was for my mother, I knew chocolate was not at all an option, as she hates it but loves fruits a lot. So with Keerthi’s suggestion I went forward with the Fresh fruit sugar-free cake.

To be honest, I was not so excited about the cake as I usually am for other bdays since it was chocolate and it was SUGAR-FREE! But once the cake was cut and I had my first piece of it, I was mind-blown!

It did not taste like the “sugar free” sugar-free cake, rather it was very light and the fruits on top were a perfect blend to the pastry. The pastry as a whole felt super light as sponge used was very fine and the cream very gently flavored! I went for more pieces even though I was feeling full cause the cake was so delicious I knew i would regret it later if I hadn’t taken more of it.

Thanks to grand lounge for making my “sugar-free” aversion go away and bringing in a whole new perspective about it!

In between an event, swung by for a quick coffee break and had a café macchiato (INR 354/-), cappuccino (INR 354/-) pain au suisse, pain au chocolat, raspberry croissant, and cruffin.

All the baked goods priced at a very reasonable price of INR 89/-, much lower than the popular cafés in town.

Nice ambience with an outdoor seating that allows you to enjoy a drink facing the backwaters and feel the wind :)

Relaxing arm chairs, comfortably cushioned with elegant upholstery.

Great place with good customer service.

Only snag would be that despite coming here since 2021 (a few times in 2022, 2023 and now in 2024) they don't serve Turkish coffee although this place is frequented by foreigners, especially from the arab world who are fond of turkish/arabic coffee / qahwa /...
