Grandma's Cafe — Restaurant in Kerala

I had to pay twice to eat in this restaurant. Restaurant owner refused to refund the excess amount and denied ever receiving them.

I paid to Mathew Samuel UPI id renjuboy25-3@oksbi for the amount of Rs 440/- on 20th Feb 2024. The payment got stuck so I paid in cash and informed the staff to refund me the UPI amount if they receive it. Also I took staff phone no for following up and took menu photograph for owner no.

2 days later when the UPI transaction got confirmed, I tried reaching out to the staff who never picked my phone nor called me back.

Then I tried owner no, who denied receiving UPI amount. Hence I raised it to the NCPI. Later I got confirmation from bank that amount got credited to the merchant (restaurant owner). I tried reaching out to the restaurant owner who told he hasn't received it but still will refund the money. I followed up twice but it's been months now and there hasn't been any response from him. So now I have no choice but to assume, he doesn't have any intention to refund it. :/

Hello folks, i highly recommend this restaurant for those who really wanna have some peace of mind, the ambience and the place especially the artwork that they have done are classic. I being a metalhead or a diehard hard Rock / classic rock fan liked the way they decorated metal bands onto the restaurant wall also the other arts🌻. When coming to the food aspects, the food was delicious and mind-blowing with very much satisfying price, every dishes had a great different flavoured tastes which kept me feel awesome 😋.hospitality and service were incredible. Hats off to the crew for preparing extraordinary food. Thank you team for giving me the incredible experience....

4.5 stars. crowd is predominantly foreign. so the menu and taste is slightly catered in same way but still indian food is still indian. ambience is cozy and down to earth and not sophisticated including a semi open kitchen, which gives a very informal feel in a good way. staff is very friendly and can cater to any customisations. food is very tasty regardless of the item on the menu. pricing is apt too. visited the place for dinner on consecutive days. would like to give 5 stars next time with a little more improved seating and cleaner and more organised kitchen. when you are seated you are told that there would be a waiting time and it's worth it. still nothing...
