This is a cloud kitchen where u can get some good quality food. What we tried from here was theur renowned pot biriyani and their fresh introduction Shuwa which is an Omani dish. Starting with the pot biriyani, the chicken in the biriyani was well cooked to perfection. Chicken is very juicy, soft and tender and well marianted it masala. The flavour went deep into the chicken and was very delicious. They use small grain khaima rice for the preparation of biriyani. There was a good amount masala pieces and rice initially. Everything was pretty well balanced and such a good quality biriyani in that much quantity was reasonable for the price and much apt for 4 people for well filling. This consistency was there for first three or four orders as it was soon after the start. But later when we ordered, we realised that the size of the pot have become smaller and there was a decrease in quantity. I think the current quantity is good for a tight fill for three and it is no more worth the price. Next item shuwa, is a newly introduced dish, i am having this for the first time in kerala. It is basically an Omani dish. The main concept of the dish is, 2 hours of slow cooked chicken which is cooked without oil with good amount orlf masala which is flavoured pretty well, but not much spicy. This chicken is known as shuwa and it is served with a special kind of biriyani rice or bread items as a choice evertime we chose biriyani rice as we dont think breads will not be thay good with this chicken. The chicken doent have words to explain. It is cooked to the point a which a chciken cannot be cooked more than that. It will just break when u just pick it up. It is very juicy, soft and tender. It is very easy to squeeze the chicken. The rice comes along with this had a very good flavour of its own, can have without anything. It is that good a rice which is well cooked, flavoured with spices and is moist enough, in a very balanced manner. We cannot stop eating the rice. once we start having it. It also comes with a mayonnaise and a mint based dip to accompany which will go prefectly well with it. It is that good a combo as is worth for the price. The price to quantity ratio felt fair. But last time we order the chicken was superb as normal but the rice was a complete disaster. It doesnt have a flavor and was too dry. But they immediately sorted the issue by making a fresh rice once i raised a complaint and was ready to redeliver the food which was highly appreciated. Their customer service is so good and deliveries are perfect in time.

Inconsistency in food.

They are charging 630 + gst for cb pot saying it is for 4 but is only good for 3 currently as they have decreased the size of pot. And shuwa size also is decreased.

My kind request to Hot Box Team. I think either they have to bring back the size of the pot and qauntity of shuwa to what was on the beginning or need to cut down the price if you are cutting down the qauntity and to maintain the quality of the food.

I am writing this to u, as three of them had the shuwa with me was having it for the first time, and that time shuwa was flavor less and dry. So, they wont be going to shuwa anymore. It was that bad an experience. But i am very sure that u can do it well.

Update: Was not sure what to do with the pot from the packaging. Ended up using it as a flower pot. Picture provided. Hope you guys get even more eco-friendly with the packaging and get rid of plastic all together.

Review: So based on the reviews here I thought the pot biriyani would be enough for 3-4 but we struggled to finish it. Surprised and not sure why everyone was saying the quantity was not sufficient. The rice was flavorful without being overly spicy. The whole spices used only helped prove that the kitchen used good quality spices.

Used their app to order to get the free delivery. Now the review would have been 5 stars had the food been delivered hot. I am guessing the food was put into a cold pot for delivery as the biriyani got delivered barely lukewarm and had to reheat.

Other that all that great job to the team and I hope they continue pushing...
