This is a small restaurant serving primarily South Indian vegetarian snacks, tiffin and meals. Meals only in the afternoon. Open Mon to Fri 630 am to 930 pm. Seating is ordinary benches. The food is close to home made taste. Filter coffee and tea available. Not expensive. Accepts cash only in INR. Credit debit cards and NFC not accepted. Food parcels also available( to go). Very popular among Brahmins of the locality. Has a nickname Ayyappan kadai( kadai in Tamil means shoo) and Ayyappan was the founding proprietor. One gets dosa, idli, poori, chapattis, Bajji, vada, adadosa, sambhar chutney etc. has no parking facility. No handicapped parking or handicapped seating. Okay to bring children. No specific kids menu. Not very conspicuous on the roadside. No great views....

it's a good small tiffin shop.. had uzhunnu vada (medu vada), neyy roast (ghee roast) and rasa vada.. dosa size is big enough for me to fill.. food is tasty and affordable..👍 tried podi dosa and onion uthappam on our second visit.. yummy! katta chutney is most delicious.. they will provide as much you want and they don't charge extra.. ghee roast, podi dosa and uthappam.. all are for the same rate of Rs 50 only..

Being a ghee roast (neyy roast) lover, what i like about this small but authentic shop is ghee roast will surely have the taste of ghee.. dosa will be slightly crispy.. dosa batter isn't overly fermented.. it's tastes just right..

The food here has been a staple for many in this region for decades. Hence you will see all walks of life here. Have been going here for the past 25 years for their amazing Dosas, Vadas , Katti chamanthi. You get unlimited sambar (made in a fire stove) and chutney along with it. The food is served in a banana leaf which adds to the charm.If you go early enough (7:30am), you'll get good hot idiyappams and idlis for breakfast. The service is good with most of the servers having worked here for decades. The prices are cheap.
