Just Okay.
Not at all value for money, or meeting the hype on taste, from my experience.
Took Beef Biriyani (take away) today.
Because of my past experiences generally with restaurants, I did make a special request to have some extra masala and have good number of pieces. Unfortunately to my extreme disappointment, I got like three small pieces of beef and quite a big quantity of rice. Now @INR150.00 that was least expected, in terms of the meat pieces. Rice quantity seems to have been kept more to make up for the size of box used for packing.
I get more pieces of juicy beef cuts from any of the quite a few restaurants and takeaway in the same street (up and down in a kilometer distance we have approx 7-8 take away and speciality dum biriyani restaurants) in a Beef biriyani costing anywhere between 90 -100, with same quantity of rice.
The only side dish was a salad and lime achar.
I could not find anything quite special or wow with regard to taste too, yes it was nice rice cooked right. Nothing to call out or recommend for the biriyani anyway. You can get better or same at significantly low cost from any of the other take away or restaurant in the same stretch of road
Biriyani is not definitely worth the price or taste.
Not sure if I would step in to check the other dishes on menu. Did a quick run through, did not find anything exciting to pay another visit.
The ambience is inviting and looks cozy and comfortable.

Read moreMy search for the best biriyani in Kollam brought me here. I had read many reviews about this place that this place offers the best biriyani in Kollam town. Hence I had high expectations. But I was disappointed to eat an ordinary biryani. I expected some wow factor, but I didn't get any. I ordered chicken biryani. It was ok, not excellent. It was better than Fayalwan's biryani. But still it doesn't compare with Rahat or Rameez biriyani. The Chicken Biriyani was priced at 180. Just out of curiosity I checked Swiggy and the price mentioned on the site was 210. What a shame. The ambience and service was good. If you are looking for that Wow biriyani... This is definitely not the place. Overall a...
