Rumali - Rolls, Kababs & Juices — Restaurant in Kerala

Today, I visited a restaurant named Rumali, located in Ashokapuram, Kozhikode. The place offers some popular North Indian dishes, so we decided to try their Butter Chicken and Rumali Roti. We ordered three Rumali Rotis along with a quarter portion of Butter Chicken. The dish was quite enjoyable—flavorful and well-prepared. I would rate it 3.5/5.

However, the Beef Kebab was disappointing. It was extremely spicy and salty, making it hard to eat. We couldn’t enjoy it at all, and I would rate it only 1.5/5.

Also, please note that the restaurant has only a limited dining area, and because of that, we had to wait for almost half an hour to get a seat.

Overall, it was a mixed experience worth visiting for the Butter Chicken, but there’s room for improvement, especially with the Beef Kebab and seating...

I came here with high hopes as I was missing the Aslam butter chicken from Delhi, but the experience was disappointing. The chicken lacked flavor and the sauce was just average. The chicken seekh kebab was comparatively better but still not up to the mark. I also felt the place could have been cleaner and the air conditioning more comfortable. Service could also be improved, as the staff wasn't very attentive. Additionally, it's not the most budget-friendly option, with prices being a bit high for the quantity.
