Kozhikode M Grill is an absolute gem in the culinary world, and I can't help but sing its praises. From the moment I walked through the doors, I knew I was in for a gastronomic adventure like no other. This restaurant truly deserves every bit of the hype it has garnered, and I'm delighted to share my positive experience with you.
First and foremost, the food at Kozhikode M Grill is nothing short of outstanding. Their menu boasts a delightful array of flavors from the Malabar region, and each dish is a masterpiece in its own right. I had the pleasure of trying their signature Malabar Biryani, and it was a revelation. The fragrant blend of spices and the tender, succulent meat made every bite an explosion of taste. The seafood dishes are equally impressive, with the Fish Curry and Kappa stealing the show. The freshness of the ingredients and the expertise in preparation are evident in every mouthwatering bite.
But what truly sets Kozhikode M Grill apart is its commitment to authenticity. The ambiance of the restaurant, adorned with traditional Kerala decor, instantly transports you to the heart of Malabar. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about the cuisine and its origins, and they're more than happy to guide you through the menu if you're unfamiliar with the dishes. The warm and friendly service adds to the overall dining experience, making you feel like an honored guest in a Kerala home.
In addition to the delectable food and authentic atmosphere, Kozhikode M Grill also excels in presentation. Each dish is a work of art, beautifully plated and served with care. It's clear that the chefs here take immense pride in their craft, and it shines through in every aspect of the dining experience.
Lastly, I must mention the affordability of this establishment. Given the high-quality ingredients and the exceptional culinary expertise on display, the prices are more than reasonable. Kozhikode M Grill offers a gourmet experience without breaking the bank, making it accessible to a wide range of diners.
In conclusion, Kozhikode M Grill is a true culinary treasure. It's a place where tradition meets innovation, where flavors dance on your palate, and where every visit is a delightful journey through the vibrant cuisine of Malabar. If you're a food lover, an adventurer of flavors, or simply someone looking for an unforgettable dining experience, do yourself a favor and make a reservation at Kozhikode M Grill. You won't be disappointed, and you'll likely find yourself planning your next visit before you've even left the table....
Read moreI dined at Mgrill in Focus Mall, Calicut, today, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. Despite Paragon’s advertisement of Mgrill as a higher-standard dining option, the reality fell short.
Cleanliness and Ambiance The restaurant’s cleanliness was subpar, with fruit flies noticeably present around the food. This certainly detracted from the dining experience and raised concerns about hygiene.
Food Quality We ordered meals and biryani, but the food quality did not match the prices. The dishes were average at best. Particularly disappointing was the sambar, which had a pungent taste. Upon inquiring with the manager, we discovered that the cook had forgotten to add salt and had used burned coconut in the preparation. Although the manager offered a replacement with another curry—perhaps as a gesture of goodwill—the initial oversight was disappointing. This isn’t the first time I’ve had issues here; I’ve visited three times, hoping for improvement, but each time the food has been problematic.
Service and Management The service, while responsive to complaints, did not compensate for the overall experience. Initially, the restaurant offered a great dining experience, but it has since gone downhill.
Value for Money Considering the high prices, especially compared to Paragon and Salkara, the dining service and food quality at Mgrill are not up to par. For the cost, one expects a better overall experience.
Conclusion If you decide to visit Mgrill, be sure to raise any issues with the manager. Given the higher prices, diners have every right to expect top-notch food and service. Unfortunately, based on my recent experiences, I cannot recommend this restaurant as it...
Read moreCraving for some good food? M-Grill's the safest bet in all of Calicut! Been going there for ages and they have always been consistent in terms of quality and taste. You can experiment and order a new dish every time knowing you're in for a treat! I started off with some hot and sour soup and some pandan chicken for starters. The soup was okayish but the starter caught me by surprise. It was chicken wrapped in 'pandan leaves' fried and served with sweet and sour sauce. Everyone loved it and it got over in seconds! For the main course, I had chuttulli-meen, Irani kebab, porrota and kandari chicken. Kandari chicken and porrota combo is a tried combo which I order frequently and it didn't disappoint, but chuttuli meen really blew my mind! It's fried ayakura fish with roasted shallots. It's nothing fancy, just base flavours and spices that would knock you off your feet and bring back memories of your grandma's delicious home-cooked meal. If you like fish this dish is a MUST TRY! I didn't like the Irani kebab though. That taste was not for me. No spice. No heat. Very bland. The only downside of M-Grill is that the tables are really close by and there's something seriously wrong with the acoustics of the inner space. The sound levels go crazy high when the place is crowded and it really messes with the ambience. I'm talking about noise levels similar to a school during recess! If you have a quiet lunch in mind or need to talk business with your clients, M-Grill might not be ideal. The staff are courteous and extremely...
