Salkara Hotel in Anachal, near Munnar, offers a fantastic view of the surrounding valley, providing a serene and picturesque dining experience. We sampled a variety of dishes, including fried rice, biryani, noodles, and different types of parotta. Unfortunately, all of these were just average. Even the soup failed to stand out, lacking the depth of flavor one would expect from a well-prepared meal. The dishes seemed to miss the mark in terms of taste and presentation.

Given the overall dining experience, Salkara Hotel might not be the best choice for first-time visitors looking to enjoy exceptional local cuisine. While the views and seating are commendable, the food does not match the standard set by the surroundings.

Good place for a decent meal. Tasty meals at reasonable cost. A usual Kerala restaurant, nothing extra or fancy. It's usually crowded especially during noon hours. But the service is reasonably fast. If you stay nearby it's a good place to go to. I chose this restaurant because the resorts nearby by, including the one I stayed, offer similar food at double or triple the cost .Parking space is usually full so you might need to park on the roadside. Inside the restaurant there is non AC and AC sections. The non AC section is a bit too much crowded. Not much waiting time once you order. We were in Munnar and looking for a place offering spicy food. We had already tried a couple places the previous day and were disappointed that there were no such places. But our car driver/tour guide stopped at this place and it didn't disappoint. Our order: Tawa Chapati Egg Bhurji We requested a spicy Egg Bhurji and got exactly what we expected. The price is very pocket friendly. For 5 Tawa Chapati and 2 plates of Egg Bhurji, we paid around 200 INR.
