As a longtime patron of Sixth Avenue, I have always looked forward to delightful meals and impeccable service. However, my recent visit left me deeply disappointed and questioning whether to return in the future.

Firstly, the food delivery was egregiously delayed, which was surprising given the restaurant's reputation for prompt service. This delay significantly detracted from the overall dining experience and left me feeling frustrated and inconvenienced.

To compound matters, upon finally receiving my order, I was dismayed to discover that I had been served non-vegetarian dishes despite explicitly specifying my dietary preference as vegetarian. This oversight was not only careless but also disconcerting, as it compromised my trust in the restaurant's attention to detail and customer care.

As someone who has consistently enjoyed the food and ambiance at Sixth Avenue, this experience was particularly disheartening. It saddens me to say that the level of carelessness displayed during my recent visit has caused me to reconsider my loyalty to this establishment.

Sixth Avenue Cafe in Calicut is a delightful spot that’s easy to reach—just head towards PT Usha Road, and you’ll find it tucked away on a quiet, inviting corner. The first thing you’ll notice is the incredible teal blue interiors, which have a charming touch of Victorian architecture. This unique design really elevates the whole experience and adds a certain charm to the place.

The service here is something they should actually work on. The owner/manager were always welcoming but the waiters were a disappointment almost all the time. I believe having to call the waiter more than two times and still ignoring the customers is not in the best interest of business. Felt taken aback in that regard. As for the food, their Veg Au Gratin, Veg Cannelloni, Veg A La King, and Veg Lasagne are absolutely delicious, especially when paired with one of their refreshing iced teas. While there have been times when the consistency in taste has wavered a bit, overall, it’s still a decent place to grab a bite.

I had one of the worst experiences. I have been to numerous cafes in kozhikode but this one is the most awful experiences I have ever had . I reached the cafe around 2:15, no staff attended us to give the menu , later when asked they gave the menu and also we gave our order by 2:30 max, then the long wait started and when it was almost 3 I asked the waiter where our food was?? He was like give me five minutes and again we waited but when it was 3:15, I reached out the billing area to cancel our order to my surprise the waiter said, its better you cancel coz the food will take another half and hour to be prepared, which they could have told at the start then we wouldn’t have wasted our one hour waiting. We definitely didn’t try the food so not commenting on that. But the service, the staff attitude was rather inappropriate. They didn’t wear proper uniforms and it’s sad to say one of the oldest and famous cafes in calicut lacks basic hygiene. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go there when hungry because you would rather get a headache waiting...
