Yesterday, I visited Arabian nights restaurant, which claims to offer an authentic Arabian dining experience. As soon as I reached the place, I was greeted by two life-sized camel statues, which gave me a hint of what to expect inside. The restaurant was spacious and had a desert-themed interior, with sand-colored walls and floor. There were small tents set up for each group of customers, which added to the charm and privacy of the place. Each tent had its own air conditioner, which made the temperature comfortable and cozy. There was also a device on the table that we could use to call the waiters whenever we wanted to order something or ask for anything.
The menu had a lot of options to choose from, with dishes and drinks from different parts of Arabia. We decided to try chicken and beef shahi Dum mandi, which is a traditional dish of rice and meat cooked in a clay pot. We also ordered mohabat ka sharbat, which is a drink made with dragon fruit and watermelon. The food arrived in about hardly 7 minutes, and it looked delicious. The mandi rice was fragrant and flavorful, with spices and nuts. The chicken and beef were tender and juicy, and they melted in our mouths. The beef was especially good, as it had a rich taste and texture that complemented the rice. We enjoyed the mandi very much, and it was enough for four people. The sharbat, however, was not to our liking at all. The dragon fruit flavor(I am not sure the they have added dragon fruit in to it) was not good as expected. and it did not match the flavor of the food. None of us finished our drinks, and we regretted ordering them. The mandi was excellent, but the sharbat was a letdown. The service was impeccable, though. The staff were courteous and helpful, and they took good care of us. They checked on us frequently, refilled our water glasses, and cleared our plates quickly.
The restaurant is located on kathrikkadavu-Kaloor road, which is a busy area in the city. It is easy to find, as it has a big signboard and a distinctive exterior. The only problem was the parking space, which was very limited and crowded. I had to park on the roadside, as there was no space in the restaurant's parking lot. The staff told me that it was safe to park there.
Overall, I had a unique and enjoyable experience at Arabian nights restaurant. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to try something different and exotic . The food was delicious, the ambience was amazing, and the service was friendly. The only thing that I did not like was the drink. I would definitely go back there again, but next time I would order something...
Read moreTo be frank, never heard much about this place , never knew how it looked, what is the ambiance like etc. etc. But after my recent visit here, came to know of this whole Restaurant, which is divided into 3 different types of seating, the rich quality food, the grandeur, the taste..I am a big fan of theirs now & thought more people must know about it. I didn't feel anything lacking here, in fact everything was MORE, the ambiance, the Quality, Quantity, Taste , some selected dishes rates!! Let's talk about their ambiance. It is divided into 3 sections namely:
1.The Hot Spot Restaurant An open dining space with royal furniture, with partitioned space for groups or family. Very well-lit ambiance.
2.Arabian Nights Personally, my favorite seating area, as it is a Private dining space, designed as closed individual TENTS, each tent air-conditioned!! This was something different, attractive & very rarely seen.
Café Qureshi This is actually a Hookah or Shisha bar, designed with two majlis spaces & a retro space with plush seats.
Their Menu was extra-ordinary & looked so royal, with almost all categories like Middle Eastern, Arabic platters, Chinese, Thai, Wok Items, Tandoor, Kerala Specialty, North Indian, Falooda, Shakes, Mocktails, Mojitos, Puddings etc. etc. We were so confused, so finally the GM himself suggested few of their best sellers. So we ordered the following:
1.MUMBAI SARBATH (GLASS) 5/5 Both Special Sarbaths & Juices are available both in glass as well as a Jug. you can choose what you want.
2.MOHABBATH KE SARBATH (GLASS) 5/5
3.BLUE LAGOON MOJITO 5/5
4.BEEF TIKKA (HALF) 5/5
5.GRILLED CHICKEN WINGS (HALF) 5/5
6.MUTTON NIHARI 6/5 the famous Nawabi style Mutton curry is a must-try!!
7.KARACHI NAAN 5/5 the right combination for the above curry.
8.SHAHI DUM MUTTON MANDI (HALF) 6/5 seems like their mandis are crowd-pullers here, In fact it really looked yummylicious!! a must-try, even if its not a Kuzhi mandi.
9.KUNAFA 6/5 All their puddings are made here itself & this one is a must-try, if you are a Kunafa lover!!
it was one of the best food experiences in recent times & would recommend to all.

Read morevery hyped restaurent. Went in for lunch with my brother in law. The service is OK and atmosphere is great however, food quality is pathetic. The ambience is really good with a yellow ambient light and several hut like cabins inside with individual Air conditioners inside each. We ordered Shahi Dum Chicken Mandi and Haneedh Chicken Mandi along with Pomegranate Juice in a Jug. Shahi Dum Chicken Mandi was a hot seller as per their claim, However, the one we got was very poor. Rice was undercooked. I cannot comment on the taste as I am not sure how the authentic Shahi dum or haneedh mandi tasted but I am pretty sure that whatever it be the rice must be well cooked. Haneedh Chicken Mandi rice was cooked better and had a different flavour compared to the other. I got shocked to know that for both, the Rice is LIMITED and is not UNLIMITED whereas other restaurents in Kochi serves unlimited rice for Mandi. They charge INR 250/- for this LIMITED rice quarter chicken Mandi. The waiter said rice is limited and chargable if we demand additional rice. Regarding the Pomegranate Juice, It might be our mistake to order the same during an off season time. The jug barely contained original pomegrate juice and was having a very light pink shade and minor pomegranate flavour. They charge INR 450/- for a jug full of juice and that is way to expensive compared to the quality. They do accept Credit/Debit cards, Cash and UPI payments. They do not have any dedicated parking slots though you may park 3-4 cars on the road side if they...
