This is now one of my most favourite biriyanis of all time in Kochi. I can confidently recommend this place to anyone with thinking twice. I have tried Cochin style Chicken Biriyani, Military Biriyani Combo, Buffalo Biriyani. Starting from their Cochin Style Biriyani, it is a very different receipe from a normal Cochin style biriyani which is very delicious and it is one of the reason which makes the biriyani stand out from other biriyanis. they use long grain rice in both Cochin style chicken and buffalo biriyani, the masala in the biriyani is really a blockbuster, it is very aromatic, which remind me of some biriyani which i had in my childhood for some Christian marriage finction. Apart from that aroma it is so delicious and lifts the biriyani to next level. The qaulity of the meat in the biriyani is very remarkable. As it is prepared under dum process, the meat was cooked to perfection and was soft and tender. The rice to masala combination was perfect and the taste of masala was on point. There was no over powering of any spices in the biriyani. All together a Mind Blowing Biriyani. Military biriyani combo is entirely different from other biriyanis, in this biriyani they use small grain rice, it is a kind of biriyani in which masala is prepared first and then rice is added to the masala and cooked together. In this biriyani rice will be well masalafied and along with the rice there will be one piece of dum chicken and two pieces of fried chicken and half portion of egg. The masala for their fried kebabs are so delicious which makes the biriyani lipsmacking. It is served along with a gravy and raita where as cochin style biriyani is served with dates pickle and raita. This is also a must try item over here. Eventhough the rice in a bit spicer but is not over spiced or there is no over powering of masala. All together great experience and awesome food. Apart from the food their service was just amazing and the owner will come to us with a sweet smile seeking our satisfaction of their food and he is very keen to hear our opinion and suggestions. This is a Must Try spot for all those biriyani lovers without any doubt. There are lots of biriyanis in town, but the most important thing which keeps this place stand out is the qaulity of their food and the consistency they are maintain all the way from the very beginning. The food they serve has a flawless consistency and the taste remains constant without any changes. So far the experience make me say that Consistency = The Biriyani Store. Great effort. Kudos to all of them behind those beautiful biriyanis.

Read moreFor all you Briyani lovers, this is a hidden gem in the depths of Kochi. The super narrow lane may trick your mind to believe that it's not worth the risk, but trust me, it is worth every bite of that biryani that you are about to have at the end of that narrow lane! 😅 For me, who is a huge lover of the Donne briyani from my college days in Bengaluru, the banglore style Donne biryani was spot on and truly ...legit melted my heart....! 🥺 I loved it. The place started with just online delivery and then take away and because of the high demand, made a makeshift place to sit and dine. 😋 ....so you get the popularity and love for the biryani.
We went for the Donne briyani, Malabar chicken biryani, chicken fry, mint lime and a pineapple lime. Honestly, the biryanis were spot on with well cooked rice, tender pieces of chicken in kt, it packed with so much flavour that you'd just want to have more. The donne especially was spot on! Served with gravy and curd and perfectly cooked egg. Malabar was the typical Malabar biryani having the right cook on it. The chicken fry was brilliant! Super tender pieces of chicken served so hot, the skin crispy and the flesh inside tender! Damnnnnnn! Loved it! Both the drinks were super refreshing. Price wise, it's worth every bit.
Service: while the brain was trying to figure if the huge car that you are driving would actually go through the super narrow lane, a friendly uncle (I believe he's the owner of the place) started to guide us by showing hand gestures to which side you should keep, straight, if you are exactly at a point and just need to come forward or move a bit left or right to keep coming straight. Super friendly and fast service. 😋
Ambience: the place is actually a small house converted into a tiny restaurant, but the surrounding green, there's a big pond, lots of places to just sit and enjoy nature, kids running around...etc...it truly leaves you feeling homely! 😍 The kitchen also seems hygienic and clean. 😋 P.S the only downside is the lane to the place...😅🤣
But otherwise a definite 5/5 place for everyone who loves a good Bengaluru Donne biryani/Malabar biryani. My personal recommendation is to go for half biryani and chicken fry..😁 ...full biryani is actually a lot..and chicken fry has lots of pieces also, more than what you...
