Lakeview — Restaurant in Kodaikanal

So before you read this I just want to tell you that the same opinions are shared by the adjacent tables also. We were getting hungry because we had gone for sight seeing for a long time. We were searching for restaurants and found this restaurant which had ‘good’ reviews. We sat down and waited for 20 minutes for the waiter to come. I mean I don’t blame them because there was only one waitress who tried her best to take everyone’s orders and serve them. We then ordered 3 soups, 3 burgers and 2 beverages. We had to wait over 40 mins just to get soups!! Then we had to wait another 20 mins to get the burgers and drinks. We would’ve waited longer if it wasn’t for another family who shouted at the at the management for the long delay. Or else we would’ve starved to death.

Ok, now let’s talk about the food. We ordered two hot garlic soups, one cream of tomato soup, 2 veg burgers, 1 chicken burger, 1 lassi and 1 lemon soda. The hill top garlic soups were rasam. Literally rasam. The cream of tomato soup was watery and it was not even warm. The veg burgers were bland and fries were ok. Same with the chicken burger. The meat was slightly uncooked and was bland. The only things which tasted good were the lassi and the lemon soda.

When we went to the front desk to pay, the bill had few extra items we didn’t order. We had to tell them to remove those items.

I can say that the service of the waitress was good. She tried her best to get our food as fast as possible. It is clearly the management’s fault and negligence. They loot all our money and serve cardboard.
