Silver Oak Restaurant — Restaurant in Kodaikanal

We had visited the restaurant yesterday for dinner and they serve buffet priced ₹1600 per head. For the price paid the food was not up to the mark at all. However I do say that the manager and staff were really good.

Only disappointment was the food which lacked flavour and not much non veg variety. The dessert section was another disaster - the shahi tukda was very hard , custard was not good, only the gulab jamun was good.

From Carlton being famous the restaurant doesn’t do justice to its name is what I felt. I however cannot comment on the stay which looks splendid with Kodai lake view.

We dropped in here for a quick lunch before winding off our weekend vacay in Kodaikanal. Silver Oak restaurant was extremely top-tier with courteous and polite staff. The food was decent. But I must appreciate the staff who were so humble and down to earth. They kept reassuring and serving us even without us asking. Honestly experienced sweet gestures from their side. Their hospitality is what attracted me the most about this place. Being a 5-Star hotel, it definitely proves its standards.

Last but not the least, choose this place for the most beautiful lake view one can find in Kodai hills. ...

My recent dining experience at this restaurant was a mix of impressions. The food, unfortunately, fell short of expectations and could be described as average at best. Also, the spread was very minimal.

On a positive note, the service was a standout aspect of the evening. The staff was attentive, friendly, enhancing the overall dining experience.
