Aahar Restaurant — Restaurant in Kolkata

Recently visited Ahar which is located near sealdah. It was a bengali cuisine old restaurant and it is a popular destination for Bengali food lovers, offering an authentic taste of traditional Bengali cuisine... We have tried their basic veg meal with bhetki mach er paturi and pomfret fish, nd it was worth it. The fish were so fresh and well cooked and the aroma of the food was something so soothing. It's a must try place for Bengali food lovers in a pocket friendly price but the surrounding and ambience is not like a big restaurant and its also non AC but that didn't bothered us because their warm welcoming behavior and good quality of food..Hope to go soon to try their other fish...

Food is good, always fresh. A running hotel, serving almost every dish. Though there is no signature dish as such, good food quality is maintained. Taste as such is not good. But overall not bad. The price is reasonable. It mainly serves Bengali food, then serves mughlai. Chinese is also available, but very common dishes. Hygiene is a good factor to be considered for this restaurant. The location is also a good point, as it is at the juncture of sealdah bridge and station, all the passengers can locate it easily, as one has to pass by this road for going to the station or coming out of the station to avail other...

Sadly Google doesn't allow to submit zero star, first of all the staff is rude,by rude I mean Really RUDE, they behave like they're serving the food for free, highly overpriced, there are other better hotels available in the area with much much lower pricing, quality of food is terrible as well, all the curries are same regardless of fish or meat, no taste what so ever, overall ' 1 star experience with 5...
