Tucked close to Sealdah and College Street, Shraddhananda Park offers a modest green reprieve amid the city’s hustle. The park, open from early morning till around 10 pm, is praised for its accessibility—just a short walk from Sealdah station—making it a convenient stop for both locals and commuters .

Visitors frequently highlight its open play area where children and informal groups enjoy cricket and football. It’s a fine spot for a peaceful evening walk or for families to unwind . The greenery, although limited—some areas have sparse grass and occasionally dusty patches—adds a welcome splash of nature in the dense urban sprawl .

Still, the park isn’t without flaws. Safety concerns have cropped in reviews, citing low-height gates that pose risks, especially around children, and a few neglected corners that can attract anti-social activity after dusk . Cleanliness also varies—some visitors mention dust and the absence of lush landscaping, especially compared to more well-maintained parks .

In summary, Shraddhananda Park is a practical, central green space ideal for casual recreation, children’s play, or evening strolls. With a bit more upkeep and enhanced safety, it would be an even more inviting retreat in this busy...

A playground like this is a blessing in North Kolkata. The entire park and grounds have been renovated recently. As soon as you enter through the main gate you will see the playground, on the left is the children's play park where no one above 18 is allowed to enter. Right side is volleyball court. Entire area is covered by wall and big trees. Highly...

Nice pandal in 2024 . 10 mins walking from Sealdah station, along M.G.Road. You can also find an entrance from Amherst Street. Public toilet is there. Very low grade park.
