ABAR KHABOO RESTAURANT & CATERER — Restaurant in Kolkata

I've seen this small roadside restaurant many times when passing by Chiriamore, but never tried their food. First of all huge respect and thanks to the Zomato delivery guys for delivering food from this place that is almost 5 kms from my home.

I ordered one of my favourite cheap combo Aloo Biryani & Chicken Chap from here. Packaging was nice and clean in plastic container.

Aloo Biryani @ Rs. 80 (4/5) Surprisingly this Biryani tasted very different than any cheap Biryani. It was made of mixed long & broken both quality rice. Taste was very light but that felt really good. Potato was big and soft. Portion was ample.

Chicken Chaap @ Rs.70 (4/5) Unlike most cheap Chicken Chaap surprisingly this wasn't very oily. Chicken piece was fresh, well cooked and of medium size. Taste was above average and it changed the flavours of Biryani.

I found they also deliver Chinese food but unfortunately only Biryani is available currently, maybe due to the lockdown. But I'll surely try their other items when everything will...

I was scrolling on the SWIGGY app to try some local restaurants, I found a restaurant "Abar Khabo". I went through its menu, it is really cheap in price. I ordered 1x Mutton Biriyani 1x Chicken Biriyani 1x Mixed Rice 1x Chicken Munchurian

I received 2 Chicken Biriyani, no Mutton Biriyani. The Chicken was not at all fresh in the entire order. Prawns are stale in the Mixed Rice, as shown in the picture.

I DISCOVERED THE RESTURANT IS NOT ONLY CHEAP in price but ALSO IN QUALITY.

I complaint to SWIGGY, but they haven't replied anything. I am sure they will neither reply nor take any steps against the restaurant.

In this hygiene oriented surroundings Stale foods are delivered through Swiggy Delivery Partners.

First of all I am telling you the price of chicken biriyani is not reasonable. Packaging was good but the taste and quantity isn't enough for one person. The rice portion was too much oily and the rice portion was smashed also broken. They not served leg piece in your order if you want to chicken leg pieces in biriyani then you will be paid extra 10 rupees. And I also ordered Chicken Chaap from here.
