Aminia Restaurant - Garia — Restaurant in Kolkata

A few days ago , I visited an outlet of Aminia Restaurant in Garia and was pretty impressed by the quality and quantity of food served there .

First things first , the restaurant has been dedicatedly following all the post lockdown norms and serving their customers with extreme care and sanitization.

Our hands were sanitized just as we entered. The waiters served us using gloves and the overall hygiene inside the outlet was on point.

These are some of the dishes we tried there - Tikka kebab and Malai kebab - Tikka kebabs with it's blend of spicy flavours and Malai kebab with it's mild spices and Malai flavours can always be the starter of your preference.

Mutton Biriyani - Biriyanis in Aminiais a special mention. Mild spices and nominal use of fragnant waters are a speciality of Aminia Biriyani. Along with that , the soft and succulent piece of a mutton will definitely be a tastebud delight. Not forgetting the big piece of potato and an egg which is a must in Aminia Biriyani. Chicken Biryani - Another special mention about this Biriyani is the huge piece of chicken and the Biriyani which will a treat for your never ending appetite.

Chicken Handi kebab - Chicken Handi kebab is a flavourful preparation of chicken in a thick spicy gravy . It is no doubt tasty and can be eaten with any rice otlr Indian bread. The egg with it is like a cherry on the cake.

Reshmi butter masala - This again is another wonderful chicken preparation with kebabs , fresh cream and a tasty gravy.

Phirni - Phirni at Aminia is a must have. It is one of the finest dessert served there.

Mixed fruit castard and chocolate mousse - These two desserts come in plastic cups. I personally didn't like the mixed fruit castard because of it's peculiar taste . The chocolate mousse , however , was really good and can be given a try if you are a chocolate lover.

Finally stepped into a restaurant after 4months. This outlet of aminia located at garia is all prepared to adapt to the new normal by maintaining all Covid-19 safety related guidilines. They are operating with half of the staff and only 50% tables are being used in order maintain social distancing. The interior is quite spacious and very hyegenic. Before allowing us to enter they made us use hand sanitizer and checked our body temperature. Tables, windows, door handles are wiped down with alcohol spray several times while they customers are dining. Speaking about their food I started with kebabs and tried their malai kebab and tikki kebab. The kebabs were super tender and delicious. Especially the malai kebab totally melts in your mouth and has great aroma of spices, yogurt. Last but not the least I ordered for biryani with reshmi butter masala. Biryani is the one thing Aminia is known for. The mutton biryani was just out of this world. The mutton pieces were super tender and juicy and one of the best biryani I have tried so far. The best thing about their biryani is, they don't put too much of extra spices which makes it taste very fresh and light. Finally after 5 moths I have visited to restaurant for having lunch with my friends. As aminia has already taken all precaution and I had some sort of craving for biriyani and kebab so opted this place. It was 30 mins max from my home so didn't have any kind of transport issue or I can say location wise its 3-5 min walking distance from kavi nazrul metro station (Garia).We tried various dishes like- Tikka Kebab ,Malai Kebab,Mutton biryani,Chicken biryani ,Phirni,Mixed fruit custard,Chocolate mousse.

In the starters I liked tikka kebab . It was so good and found great for my tastebuds. Malai kebab was equally good though. As i am very much hardcore red meat lover so tried mutton biriyani from here. We all know how good Aminia biryani is. Mutton piece was soft and biryani was not so spicy and oily so it was amazing all I can say. Chicken biryani was good as well as some of friends tried that. Now come to desserts section and in my opinion firni was too good . Although I didn't like custard that much but overall we had great experience out there.
