A small food joint from the Kolkata-famous fast food giants Bedwin , located opposite Dakshinapan Shopping Complex. The place is small and has a small dining space(accommodates roughly 30) on the inside and a live Roll counter on the outside. Their Roll, just as their name suggests, is very good indeed. In Mughlai, Biriyani stands out as the best. Though they serve quite a number of Indian items, Chinese is undoubtedly better. Their egg fried rice & Chilly chicken are must tries. They serve good momos too and pan fried is the best choice in this regard. Overall, you must remember that it is a small food joint, more of a fast food centre than a proper restaurant, and hence do not expect it to be lavish with a fine-dining experience. We had ordered chicken fried rice and chilli chicken but after some time the waiter said that the order would take time and so we can try something else. We were ok with it and ordered special chicken biryani. I have had biryani at Bedwin quite a few times previously so thought why not repeat the same order. But when the biryani was served to us, we just lost the appetite to eat. The rice was overcooked and chicken pieces were very hard and just plain to taste. The potatoes were almost raw. Today we have purchased one Mutton Biryani parcel from Bedwin Dhakuria , cost Rs 200/- in the evening. While opened there was one small mutton bone piece with potato with gravy and one egg. It was not looking fresh. No taste and looking like Gravy type. While calling several times ph no. is not connecting. Very disheartened. After taking order they have taken 15-20 minutes to deliver it when no rush at the restaurant. We have asked them the reason for delay delivery.
