Dhakuria Lake, popularly known as the Rabindra Sarobar, is a man-made lake and the second largest water body of Kolkata. It is considered a major ecological reserve of the city. The stone-paved jogging strip encircles the Rabindra Sarobar Lake Park gardens, making it a fantastic destination for a waterfront run. There is a museum inside the premises of the lake called Thakur-der-gallery, literally translating to Gallery of the Gods because this museum houses some of the award-winning Durga idols of Kolkata.
