Excellent food with variety in buffet. Specially the deserts of various types are really very good and tasty. Main food not very oily and continental dishes are also excellent. One can enjoy eating with different type of dishes. Behavior of the staffs at the restaurant is excellent and they are also very helpful. You can order for dish of your choice to the chef who is ready to serve you. This signature restaurant of Hotel Sonar epitomizes all that is best about the ITC hospitality experience.The entrance to the coffee shop is majestic with the grand view of Bengal's Baganbari(garden in water bodies).The restaurant is very well appointed. We ignored the buffet spread and went for a la carte menu.The menu itself is very unique as it indicates the characteristics of the food i.e. whether the food is gluten free,etc.You can also tell them if you are allergic to any food.The menu is impressive although limited for a restaurant of its size.The food is very tasty.Service really stands out as it is very personalized.They even took our photo and presented a print out of it nicely framed.The only downside is that some staff does not know the menu rather well.However they more than made up for the misunderstanding in our order by providing us a replacement dish.Overall a truly superior experience.We were rather disappointed with the X-mas lunch and very relieved that was only...

One of the worst lunch experiences ever in this 5 star property in Kolkata. If you wanna throw away your hard earned money, come here. Here goes the details.... We ordered for lamb. It seems the meat was procured before India's independence. Probably the waiter should have given an axe to chop it off !! I called the chef, explained him, however he seems to have absolutely no idea about how to control the damage.He just said he will look into this and disappeared in thin air !! Waiters !!!! God, those are twice as useless..He is serving dish x to person y, serving dish y to person z and serving dish z to person x !!!! Memory loss, may be !!! Finally, unfathomable stupidity !! We just ordered for Tiramushu. The question I had : Sir, would you like to get it prepared by single shot coffee or double shot ???? I mean, really ????? I have been staying in Centtal Europe for the last 15 years and this is the 1st time I faced this !!!

Ideally, i should have asked the manager to adjust the bill or to ask for a voucher for such low quality food and service !!!!!

Once again, I am convinced why Taj and Oberoi are still way ahead of others when it comes to follow the culinary tradition of Kolkata. Looks like this group is run by a bunch of people whose sole objective is to make money by selling the STAR value!

I recently dined at Restaurant and had an amazing experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with friendly staff and a warm ambiance. The restaurant's decor was tastefully done and created a cozy, intimate setting.

The food was the highlight of the evening. Every dish we ordered was prepared to perfection, with impeccable presentation and outstanding taste. The menu options were varied, and each dish was bursting with flavor and creativity. I particularly enjoyed the chef's special, which was a delightful surprise that I would never have tried otherwise. The drinks were also excellent and the wine list was extensive.

Despite the high quality of the food and drinks, the prices were reasonable and offered good value for the quality and quantity of the food. I appreciated the consideration given to those with dietary restrictions, as there were many vegetarian and gluten-free options available.

The location was easy to find and conveniently located in a bustling area of town. The parking was ample, and the restaurant was accessible via public transportation.

I would highly recommend this Restaurant to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. The atmosphere, food, and service were all outstanding, and I look forward to dining...
